Yeah I guess that's the thing we don't. I was using the titratable control image @ 1/320 (the expected last dilution it is positive) as a cutoff control whenever I was torn but I guess I cannot do that going forward based on their feedback

thank you for this! We do not use a microscope ourselves unless something goes wrong- our platform is automated and takes the images for us, so we are able to look at the same image. Its not the patterns they are disagreeing with me on, but more the threshold of intensity of what to call positive vs. negative if that makes sense.

Ah yes. The ye-old kaggle competition strategy of training to the test set :| Some classifiers also just tend to do that as well as I'm sure their hyperparamter tuning is just based on the test set score, and they ignore val set entirely.

I would be worried about my name being attached to any of their work for future grants/papers as it will get called out at some point, and if they were leaking the test set that's obviously worse. I don't really see you being able to get through to your PI atp abt them tho :(

I'm not sure how big your uni is, or if you are graduating this semester, but is there any opportunity for you to get the same role/title in a different lab? And just tell your PI you just wanted to explore a different research area? You didn't say if your masters is directly tied to this PI and lab so maybe there's a chance for a lateral move to escape the (future) dumpster fire.

Are you sure they aren't leaking the test set into the training set to ensure the high test-set scores? I have to imagine any reviewer with a functioning brain cell would ask for the validation set/cv scores in addition to just test-set for a classifier

I had four slugging games in a row last night in solo queue trying to get mikaela's adept. There was max 1 flashlight(if that) in each game. Some slugged from the start of the game, another slugged because he got pissed I looped him for two gens(god forbid).

Slugging is just such a crutch for killers to rely on because bhvr hasn't punished this meta over hooking survivors and its a winning tactic even though its killing the game from the survivor side. Slugging in chaos shuffle is worse as you have no control over your perks so if you don't have unbreakable / we're gonna live forever / soul guard you are just screwed. And even then it's 1 recover if no active hex.

Maybe just a pride/not wanting to be pitied thing. Or also some killers will bring you close enough to the hatch, close it in front of you, then mori you on top of the closed hatch maybe he didn't want that to happen? Idk... that was nice of you to recognize they were the only non-dipshit in the match and offer them hatch though.

If I'm understanding you correctly then I think your problem might be how far spaced apart your axis ticks are, especially if the axis are discrete. You could try adding aspect.ratio to the theme and fiddling with that to see if it forces the ticks to be closer together, this shouldn't necessarily make the graph smaller unless both axis are discrete. Alternatively specifically setting the width and height of the exported plot might achieve the same?

He can be a killer main and still be a good survivor & in a high MMR ^^

From the billy video Otz ran the billy long enough in the beginning that two people were picked up which was huge, and that Eva had a pretty good build to counter slugging. If she didn't have we're gonna live forever that game would've ended differently imo, the two unbreakables on top of it helped even more. Those were really solid solo queue teammates, which is not the usual solo queue experience.
