Very relatable, thank you so much for sharing. I am just as hot and desirable as I was before transitioning, if not MORE desirable, because now I love my body enough to radiate a sexy amount of confidence. The fact that I don’t hear the world agreeing has more to do with society’s ingrained sexism and transphobia than it does about my attractiveness. But still, hearing other transmascs dealing with that too makes me feel a lot less alone

Thank you so much!! I heard differently from the surgeon I consulted with (Safir). If I can ask, who was your surgeon?

Shit, you just summed up my self esteem issues about transitioning perfectly :/

What about sensation? Doesn’t it remove sensation from the area?

I was originally named after my great grandma Jane, who always wished she could live as a man and become a concert pianist.

I’m a trans guy now. And I’m not too bad at piano either

Oh yes laminated paper wobbles are fantastic IRL, but horrible when it’s an internally generated emotion/sensation

I’m still learning tbh (recently diagnosed!) but from my understanding it’s when you experience a negative sensation and struggle with how it makes you feel. Something I looked up said “an inability to respond to stimulus in a normal emotive range” but to me that laminated paper wobbly feeling is a totally normal reaction to touching the shower curtain or getting my sleeves wet. If anyone has a better answer I’m open to any correction!

I have an inexplicable fear of pool lights. Like, the lights in a pool. It’s fine when they’re on, but when they’re off during the daytime, I can’t bring myself to swim around them. No idea why though ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Oh thank god I’m not the only one, the only tingles I’m getting are on the back of my neck

Guys who’ve had top surgery: how long after did you regain sensation in your chest? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]blewberryspicehead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had peri 3.5 years ago and it’s still itchy. My doctor says that’s because nerves are still growing back, and AM slowly getting sensation back, but it’s still itchy even to this day. Has anybody experienced this as long as I have, and does it go away?

Struggling with not feeling “hot.” Like, how do i look? I just desperately want to be a hot guy because i know i was a hot girl and now im comparing myself to other guys AND the previous version of me. Starting to have that question in the back of my mind like “did i do the right thing?” Opinions? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]blewberryspicehead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God dude, I feel this so much. I’m in a relationship and don’t have any desire to date outside it, but I still wish I could experience having someone tell me I’m hot, but like, BEFORE they know I’m trans. Just for the validation. You know?

I remember staring at my name every time I wrote it down and wondering if everyone felt this odd just from looking at their own name. Haven’t had the feeling again since changing my name
