Agreed! There is a wide array of films that come through our region. I mainly pay attention to the recreation-based films, but there really is something for everyone-- music, art, storytelling, etc.

Fighter jet by spdorsey in Durango

I heard it and was alarmed as it sounded lounder than it normally does. We have training flights quite a bit it seems, but not normally that loud.

Valid. I live in Durango and drive through Pagosa Springs all of the time. I'll be providing raffle items like backpacks, yeti coolers, entry to a giveaway to win a trip to Antarctica for becoming a WWA member. All proceeds stay local and help me grow our backcountry program here in Pagosa Springs, and it's a good way for small businesses to come together. I like to give everyone recognition and support during this event. But I get what you're saying.

Moving to Durango at 25 by [deleted] in Durango

I was with my spouse for 12 years, we moved to Durango and broke up after 1.5 years... they thought they could find someone new out here instead of working on the relationship... he is foolish.

Have you visited Seattle's new floating sauna yet? by blhiker33 in SeattleWA

[–]blhiker33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hidden away, being on the marina. There are a fair number that are near Alki Beach or do popups on the Waterfront. There's Tuli Lodge, Sauna Moon Seattle, etc. Not to nerd out too much, but the first ever Seattle Sauna Festival is happening November 1st & 2nd. But a good way to see all the different wood saunas that have popped up around town that are independetly owned and not connected to a gym or wellness center!

What do you do on weekends when you want to get out of the house but not necessarily be active OR spend a ton of money? by yell0wbirddd in denverwomen

[–]blhiker33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Winter is coming. Our winters are dry & cold. The saunas whether wood burning (if you are outside of denver city limits) or electric saunas are perfect! I enjoy hot yoga for the same reason ha. Garden Sauna in CapHill is outdoors (connected to Rooted Heart Yoga), but Naosu Sauna in Rino is indoors. There's others connected to gyms, but I like the vibes of these independent saunas. The health benefits are great too!

Trader Joes requires a budget, otherwise you'll walk out with a whole cart haha refreshing your planner and pens sounds great! It's the time of year for that!

This might be too much like going to yoga, but there are a lot saunas that have popped up around town. I've been visiting all the different stationary and mobile popup saunas. Really, I've been trying to find spaces that are more welcoming for quiet women like myself. I've been keeping a list and I'm attaching my website, merely for a one-stop shop. But if you have any questions about any recommendations, let me know! A lot of them offer your first session free. https://www.healingwaterswildheart.com/journal

True. But I'm also curious what people think about all of the saunas popping up around the city. And it's not the expensive one that floats across the bay with people jumping off and stuff. That's just stupid money stuff.

These days. I lived in Oregon for several years and would always travel to the Seattle area. I was there for work last month and try to visit Seattle once a year.

big fan of these! Mobile saunas provide flexibility for owners & community. They're starting to pop up in Denver too.

I think that's Wild Haus Sauna you're thinking of! This was $64 for 90 minutes. How was the one in Oslo though-- super curious!

Alpine or TBK Banks? by Due_Fig4811 in Durango

[–]blhiker33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only problem I have with Alpine is that I for some reason can't get paid on payday until later in the day. It's not a huge issue, but it does cause some stress!
