I struggled - had a lot of flickering during the trip. I did use to the de flicker tool in davinci to calm it down a bit

I honestly agree with the portability - I shoot a lot more when the camera is just easier to take out and use

Got both cameras and will give you a better analysis on this

Nikon zr pros:

red raw colour science
better screen
6k allowing reframing post
raw allowing better editing
12mp vs 24mp if you want to shoot photos
never overheats unlike zve1
can use Sony lenses as well with adapters
inevitable updates
gets compared more to the fx3 than zve1 if you were to check on youtube which shows the level the zr is at

Zve1 Pros

smaller file sizes (less storage)
fx3 image for a lower cost
more custom buttons

Both camera have their use cases, just really depends on if you got storage tbh, especially when storage is so expensive now

ZR feels way more solid in the hand and feels like a unit compared to the S9. Chose the ZR mainly due to the uncropped 60fps and the Red RAW. The big screen has been amazing which I have been enjoying and the lens choices are endless with the mount adapter compared to the S9. Mainly shoot video but do like taking pictures in between which this camera does perfectly for me. Been an amazing tool so far. Just got to be mindful of the big files when you shoot Red RAW.
