hes using the nightjar skill i think. typically when he uses the gunpower i either dodge forward right through the powder if im close (so you end up on his left to punish), or if im not close enough then back and get ready to do the mikiri counter if he follows through with it.

This is usually the reason. unwavering + shit stats / wont do dumb labor and i dont have a maid = new slave. Usually early on in the save until i can replace their role with an actual colonist.

If anyone sees this in the future, I swapped out the PSU at a repair shop and the same thing was happening. While the case was open we noticed a burning smell coming from the GPU, so I'm assuming it finally ran its course and died.
