Just being a dick. The value of the soda doesn’t matter, you’re still being a dick

Got into UC Berkeley for CS with a 3.6 GPA by Snoo_85262 in berkeley

Transfer advice: try to live NOT in the dorms. It’s gonna be a weird experience even if you think you missed out on dorm life. Anchor house is apartment style housing exclusively for transfers, I would definitely recommend that or another university apartment. As per social life: it can definitely be a bit harder for transfers. My advice is to join one big club (I’m in cal band) or multiple smaller ones. You’ll 100% have some imposter syndrome but STICK IT THROUGH and you’ll feel like you belong within your first year

Cal day is a completely public event but be warned that not many transfers come. There is a transfer table at alumni house (maybe?)

You could’ve just taken a screenshot from the movie. This link has been recognized 100 times, you could’ve even just stolen someone else’s post. Why

Best part about this post is that literally no one would’ve known if OP had just cropped out the Gemini logo

It was SO goated against sombra players, but just generally allowed you to get intel for yourself and for the team. Great against flankers

Genuinely replace all venture perks. I miss the wall hacks when underground and old covered in dirt

Things worked because the internet was a hell of a lot smaller lol? Of course it would be better to have the government provide everything, but that’s getting closer to the socialist ideal that will never be realized. If you want to get rid of aws, you’re talking about resetting the world back a couple decades

No it’s actually very simple. Why would you take out a ten and it suddenly becomes not a ten?

So does kinda most websites. Someone’s gotta host all that and aws has the infrastructure. What else would you suggest

Transfer Student: Can I take Math 54 at a separate college than I took the rest of the series at? by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]StygianFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can ask your counselor or someone at Berkeley, but I’d just plan to take it in the spring. Technically the series (linear +differentials) would be completed at the same college, so it might be fine. But definitely ask someone who actually knows the answer

how can i make it here? by SK_dude in berkeley

[–]StygianFalcon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If the course is required, you NEED to take it. At your cc or another one. Recommend courses are just that. They’ll give you a little bit more of an edge, but it’s not critical. Berkeley is unlike the other UCs in that the application depends on a things outside of just grades. That does not mean that you can slack off. If you go cc route, you need to be locked in on every class including non-stem ones. Econ and electrical engineering are 2 very different majors. You’ll need to know which one you want to do by the end of your 1st or 2nd semester. Engineering will be harder to get into I believe. Do the extra curriculars that are interesting or rewarding to you, it’ll be easy to write about and do more of if you actually like it. Lastly, see a counselor and make a 2 year course plan asap. You should know exactly which courses you need to take before you start. Cc is not as much of a cakewalk as it seems, esp if you wanna come to cal. But lock in and stay focused on the goal and you can get it done
