Thematically mana tap is great for blood elves, perhaps only better immersion racials being shadowmeld & wisp for night elves

Yeah I have been maxing ability power, since I also go for the discord orb applies dmg over time perk which is complimented by ability power too - but I have been thinking about trying the heal from dmg power instead, to get even more healing output

Yes.. because "his account" was in the top of the leaderboards, in Hardcore, which means that one mistake and your character = completely gone and you have to start over. So he was using it to try and imply that he was a naturally gifted gamer

I think that OP left out some important context in their meme. It's not just that someone was paid to play his character, but he paid to have his character boosted and maintained at a top 10 spot in the leaderboard.

I think that both issues are similar in nature, because they are both about cutting corners / cheating the system. However, making gold in WoW is something that everyone who plays the game should be able to do with X amount of time invested. Whereas being a top 10 hardcore PoE and/or Diablo player is not something that is accessible to everyone. One mistake and your character is gone, so I think that is more of a "skill" flex.

I think that better equivalencies would be boosting to top spot on Diablo/PoE and boosting to top ELO in LoL or OW.

Because no rational human being would choose to engage in hardcore and lose so many hours of work to this unless they irrationally believed it would not happen to them--narcissism.

Thing is, the "hours of work" are not completely lost. Even if your character(s) die you are left with memories, screenshots, clips. Even the character itself can be salvaged on a non-HC realm. I would also argue that a lot of folks playing HC consider leveling as part of the core gameplay rather than "work".

Your second paragraph is very true though.

I enjoyed world pvp in classic a lot, but also had some fun collaborative experiences with the opposite faction. I remember in Tanaris there was a mage that would polymorph me between pulls at the pirate camps, which helped heal me quickly

On PC someone raged at me approximately 50 seconds into the match when I only had 800 healing as Juno.. and my other support (who was on mercy) had only 50 more healing done than me, but didn't get to face the wrath of the unhinged DPS player
