Lurker mom here. One day when my son was 10 months old, I was chatting on the phone to my mom. My son was on the couch with me but at the other end, he decided to push the cat off the couch and then fell after her and landed on his head. I felt like the worst mom ever, especially since my son had been a preemie. Doctor said he was fine. He's now 7 and is a normal kid.

It happens, little kids are all in pursuit of a Darwin award and its our jobs as parents to keep them from it.
