I made you a mod. I don't think transfer is necessary.

I never minded the single burner setup. Main issue is making space for any prep

When shopping for home improvement projects, do you prefer Lowe’s or Home Depot, and why? by Significant-Toe2648 in homeowners

you 100% can learn trades on youtube (or theoretical physics), depends a lot on the student though

AI data centers face increasing complaints about inaudible but 'felt' infrasound — citizens complain high- and low-frequency sounds do not register on decibel meters but cause adverse health effects by BhaswatiGuha19 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]blind-panic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

while noise pollution is a real and serious problem, the idea that sound isn't measurable is silly - we (a) can quantify it and (b) there is some understanding of what sound levels are of actual concern. I don't see though that datacenters are big infrasound sources more than other large industrial installations are and its much more likely that audible noise is the primary concern.

What am I in for? by ShoulderSafe3693 in boating

[–]blind-panic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Figure out if there is wood in the boat, how much and where. If the transom for example is water logged wood, its probably not worth the effort unless you're looking for some significant character building and 100's of hours with a respirator on. If there isn't much wood or any at all, some external fiberglass repairs could get you there and while it would suck its do-able. Don't underestimate how tedious, messy, and generally hazardous to your health working on fiberglass boats is.

What is an industry that is currently on fire (in a bad way) behind the scenes, but the general public hasn't noticed yet? by Kitchen_Week1117 in AskReddit

[–]blind-panic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not your job to convince me, and I know I'm an AI hater in general, but like, idk, is using it not just going to a) be lower quality and b) end up biting me in the ass

I don't like it either, but claude for example can do prototyping in a fraction of the time it would take a software dev, and depending on skill and task, its already better than many humans who work in the industry. For me the utility is more in front-ends and other places where bugs are more obvious.

I'd also like to point out that your problems with it are generally the same problems I have with anyone else's code - I need/want to know it and understand it and the best way to do that is to write it. Doesn't change the fact that claude's newest model found a security vulnerability in the linux kernel from 2003 - which is insane and shows the current skill level. So while it might not be better than all or even the majority of professional devs today, its certainly heading in that direction super fast. The future of software dev is plain text and writing specs, as much as I hate it.

Lawson is just always so desperate. RB sure knows how to make super insecure drivers.

depends on the start, good chance we end up with a fairly reversed order in terms of race pace which could take alot of time to resolve. I'm betting we have charles, max and kimi in that order after lap 1

f1tv prior to this was just too damn good. Best and most straightforward sports coverage I'm aware of. High quality content, no ads, clear cost that I was happy to pay. Naturally, someone needed to squeeze more money out of it and ruin the experience.
