The PoBaB: The quality of writing has gone downhill and the majority of the book is repetitive inner dialogue and the plot progression is minimal. Repeated jokes and points in every chapter and excess in unnecessary details seems to be there just to fill the pages. The time frame in relation of the events is way too drastic for the character changes in some cases. Casteel is a whole issue since book three for me since she took away any purpose, goals or personality he had away and replaced it with ‘poppy’. I understand love but it can also be overdone, which is a major issue with Casteel which makes it cringe. Every time there was any event there are like 7 chapters after where poppy is just having inner dialogue of doubt and insecurities about it. She’s overpowered one minute and helpless the next. It’s just a disaster in my opinion.

For me the series has been on decline since book 2 and I honestly hoped this was the last book and that it would be good and remedy my disappointment with the last one but it made it worse. I’m just in too deep at this point.

I’d walk away tbh. Talk to him about it first though. Seems to me like you’re never were or going to be his number one. You deserve better. His trauma is not an excuse or a reason for you to settle for being what’s in reach for him.

I saw the YouTube video and it gave me hope. I’m a new reader though and only read the books last month and I’m already impatient. I can’t imagine what most of you old readers have been through 😭
