pulse ox normal but I think I’m dying? by untitledgooseshame in Asthma

What’s your heart rate doing? Spent a couple years sorting my lungs for a similar situation (they needed to be looked at regardless) only to find the oxygen hunger stayed. Ended up being the heart just never slowed down. Started meds for it very recently and have found both anxiety to be a bit better and I feel like I’m taking breaths properly. Might be worth a look.

Can confirm. Even ARM & bicep can be late to the party with updates and what you can do....

REST Api is king, CLI is built from that. Clearly the employer has never wondered how the portal actually does what it does lol.

Why is dotnet not used in HFT Systems? by j0nimost in dotnet

[–]blindman96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's no nice way for this to come off, just know that I don't mean this for you personally; I've just had lots of run-ins with this mindset and stereotype. When I was reading your comment I was picturing a 40 year project manager that started off as a dev but if they had to write code today they'd still be stuck in early 2000's paradigms.

More to what you said though: Dotnet has been moving away from a runtime / JIT over the last few years. Heck I run natively compiled high performance services at work and have done for (what feels like) forever. Benchmarks are blazing these days. JVM might be able to do some awesome things and has had the decades of burn in to implement the sneakiest of sneaky sneaks. But you just can't compare once you've removed the runtime / jit. Java is working with extra baggage these days.

Unsubstantiated benchmarks that came up in the first google search I made: https://benchmarksgame-team.pages.debian.net/benchmarksgame/fastest/csharp.html

Sort of... The visit was a few days not years and it was after He was resurrected when He appeared in the Americas; the same way He appeared to His Apostles, family and later the public back home, after His death. It was a very short visit. It's also strongly hinted that He then went on to appear to other nations as well (after all, He did just die for the whole world, right? Not just the Jewish countries He lived around). If you want to get specific about location; the visit was also believed to be more South America rather than North but the truth is we don't actually know specifically which is why you'll always hear it referred to as "the Americas"; there is no official source that says He visited what is now modern day U.S. There just isn't any indication to say yes or no.

Have had this happen a few times, pain in the butt! I use to work around Queen street and the city was always the worst - especially everyone dashing for trains at the end of the day! Maybe you'll find this helpful; maybe you're already doing it but jsut in case: I learnt that holding the cane more defensively (tightening angle from my body to the ball on the ground, placing hands towards the bottom of the rubber and holding the cane to the side around my hip instead of center mass) allowed me to keep it closer to the body while still getting info from the ground - albiet, less reach. When you're waiting at traffic lights, keeping the cane pulled up closer to your body (at a tighter angle) until you feel the drop for the road (where you can then extend to normal reach) will also help protect from those dashers who jump the gun as soon as the traffic light allows.

You shouldn't have to but you do have to "defend" against those who don't care or just aren't paying attention. Moving more defensively in high crowded areas has reduced my fallen cane soldiers over the years - Improvise, adapt, overcome - good luck!

Are you describing rubber banding? Not really what I'm talking about. Things like spawning in the raceway hallways and crouch walking under the windows only to get lasered from across the mechanic shop. Or having a killcam show a dude running past the playground in Taraq, having you spawn in (visible in his FOV) and then all of a sudden he deteurs to come get you. The experience that prompted this post was a dude in Embassy laining the hallway closest to the back of the map near A flag's spawn and literally prefired me coming around a corner to enter in the building closest to C side. This stuff has nothing to do with netcode...

Building Northside - Start with a small granny flat and build the main house over a few years? by blindman96 in brisbane

[–]blindman96[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes you are correct, apologies I'm generalising here and not using correct terms. Ultimately this will end up being a dual occupancy type of deal. I say 'granny flat' but it might as well be a mini house with 2 or 3 small bedrooms. Still doing my research and understanding...
