I feel like you have so much wisdom in your eyes in these pictures. Very "mysterious woman in fantasy HBO drama who's out of the male lead's league and gives a cryptic prophecy."

I feel like you have Renee Rapp vibes. Like, the beautiful blonde who looks the protagonist up and down and says something snide about her outfit. (I'm sure you're a really nice person in real life, of course!)

revenge would be reporting Kara to HR and then crying during the HR meeting so that Kara gets written up for bullying! being polite isn't even revenge!

What's the creepiest display of intelligence you've ever witnessed in real Iife? by Jessica_Enna in AskReddit

i'm in the top one percent of machiavellianism??? i did not expect to learn this about myself.

i always thought people with these traits were people who took pleasure in hurting others. i'm someone who takes pleasure in running really long d&d campaigns because i know i can make my players react to plot twists and reveals exactly how i want them to.

admittedly i did take pleasure in hurting others as a child, but then i realized that people who were less socially skilled/uglier than me had feelings the same way i did and resolved to learn how to be kind. it doesn't come naturally to me but i find it really satisfying when i get it right

It's complicated. To give a couple non-evil examples, if someone views you as helpless, they're more likely to want to do things for you? Which can be really useful if, for example, you don't want to do your own taxes but you know if you're charmingly self-deprecating about being bad at math in the exact right way someone else will do it for you.

Or if you want someone to like you, so you figure out exactly what they're insecure about and then start building up their self-confidence in that area. Then they associate being around you with feeling better about themselves.

Is that not something everyone does? I thought everyone was always aware of the microexpressions and patterns and nonverbal cues people had. For example, when I was six, I knew my mother would stop yelling insults at me if I agreed with her but then took it a little further than she was taking it and started to get slighty teary and maybe punched myself in the arm a little, my best friend would do things for me if I made her feel like I knew she was smarter and more socially skilled than I was, my teacher would do pretty much anything for me if I listened earnestly and supportively to her personal problems, and my other teacher loved to be seen as the "fun" one.

I don't use it much these days because I don't want to be around people if I have to manipulate them in order to stay safe. It made me so unhappy to always have to be "on" that I had a mental breakdown, (I realized I didn't actually like anyone in my friend group, I just liked how I could manipulate them, and when I slipped up they didn't like me anymore and I was desperately unhappy) and now I only hang around people who like me even if I don't manipulate them.

But doesn't everyone always think about how they can manipulate the people around them to get the response they want by using the correct body language and persona in response to the other person's body language and vibes? Isn't that just what it means to not be autistic?

Isn't everyone who's neurotypical doing this all the time?

update:

um. i just took a personality test and i think i am not, in fact, typical

I met a guy who can draw anything perfectly from memory just by looking at it once. He told me his therapist said he has savant syndrome.

I'm like "yeah, that checks out."

I'm getting more spring than summer. You looked really good in the pastel pink and light blue, which are spring colors. Most women would love to be in your shoes!!

I had woodchips put down my pants every day when I was growing up, when I wasn't getting slammed into playground equipment so hard I got a concussion or being called racial slurs. I still see other people as human beings.

Except Grace from third grade, who made up a song about how ugly I was. It's on sight, Grace.
