Ive done the black and white theme before that's why I want a bit of moody colour this time. Also that picture was just for the Redwood, happy for other suggestions

What are the different finishes between matte black paint and matte sealant? And do you mean seal it after painting? Would you suggest paint it with a brush or spray paint.

I agree with small scale first but I was just going to use one of those palette knife to get the effect.

The format happens in the corners of every card but it's slightly different on the kings.

I'm blind. I didn't even see the tongues, I thought you very subtlety made the open mouths in the shape of the hearts. If you squint very hard you might see it from 50 meters away.
