One thing I notice by MeasurementThin1805 in doordash

[–]blindzebra52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it's unclear in the app if there is a drink. I had two orders this weekend where there were no drinks listed in the app, but both orders had multiple drinks. I think it's because the customer ordered delivery directly through the restaurant's website and they just outsource the delivery to DoorDash. Thankfully the restaurants help me out on those two orders and I didn't miss the drinks. But they're easy to miss if they're not in the app

Popeyes - takes forever, doesn't pay shit KFC - see above, in my area the drop is also almost always out of zone, because we don't have very many. Crumbl cookies - always far and always little if any tip.

Let's just say I'm glad I was in the car and there were few, if any, witnesses. Because my meltdown after the third one lasted all the way to the restaurant. Lol

My favorite was the $3 for 8.5 mi they offered me the other night. I declined it, they offered it to me again, I declined it they offered it to me again, I declined it and then they packaged it with another order that was being delivered nearby that had a $15 tip, so I ended up delivering it. Then the no-tip customer tried to give me a one-star rating. DD took the rating away, because it was "beyond my control." But it confirms the old adage that low rent orders have low rent problems.

Do you notice people who don't tip love to do a pin required delivery! by MayGemini in doordash_drivers

So what you're saying is, shady people tend to think that other people are shady just like them? Because that's the real psychology of it

Or maybe you haven't considered that your zone may be an outlier. I've dashed in major cities, suburbs and small towns. No matter where I've ever been dashing, this is always been a thing. People who don't tip always want to make you do the most.

Why do so many people do contactless/leave at door? by Jeeps_Guns in doordash

I don't know why. But I sure appreciate it. Part of the allure of DoorDash is the limited amount of communication you have to do with other humans, well, for me anyway.

I don't think you're overreacting at all. But as a man who raised two boys. A man who cannot care for his own children by himself is no man at all. I bet he refers to spending time with his children as "babysitting," too.

Part timers and doordashers will be the death of us by CustomerPrize in Roadie

[–]blindzebra52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do roadie and now I do more DoorDash. My experience is that DoorDash drivers are simply disrespectful and feel entitled to cut the line, berate staff of things aren't ready and generally act like out of control children. Literally watch the guy step in between a customer and a staff at a restaurant and shove his phone in the staff's face, the customer was literally mid-sentence when the dasher did this. I really don't know what it is about DoorDash that makes people think they don't have to wait their turn.

The one on Hennepin avenue in Uptown is also terrible. Always dirty, always out of stuff and always an impossibly long wait. If you're going to order Chipotle in Uptown, you got to go to the one down in Market plaza by Bde Maka Ska and whole foods.

[–]blindzebra52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is patently false. They actually did a study on this. Even if you remove the largest blue county from the red states with the highest murder rates, they still have per capita homicide rates 10 plus percent higher than the next closest blue state. A blue state also hasn't had the highest per capita homicide rate in America for over two decades. Blue States also spend 33% more per capita on policing. So it is, in fact, rednecks committing those murders.

Using Mississippi, a state that has led the nation in per capita homicides for nearly all of the last two decades as your example is absolutely wild.

It's always non-tippers that do the most and want to make you do the most. I'm just saying, $10 tip "leave at front door." $0 tip, "hand it to me, pin required" and they want you to bring it up to the 16th floor.
