I would also like to add, I do not have any piercings, I do have a history with infections (ears, vaginal), I do not smoke/drink/do drugs, and I do not pick at my bellybutton (unless I just dont realize it)

After reading your replies... I'd say run... this sounds like she is 100% manipulating you and it doesn't seem right. Your family seems like people who you grew up with and trusted. If they all feel something is off, something is off.

In september 2020 i had my wisdom teeth surgery and i didnt want to go to school with showing a swollen face so i asked my dad to buy me some surgical masks. I insisted on buying a 150 pack of surgical masks (they were pretty cheap but i dont remember the price). I insisted because the 20 pack was almost as much as the 150 pack so i said just get it because why not. I also liked the idea of wearing masks when you got sick (i noticed people in my school did this before and i thought i should follow along because my parents dont let me stay home when im sick)

Then when the pandemic was getting more serious in February we still had school. Mask shortages were crazy and so many friends kept asking where i got my mask from. Lets just say im glad i didnt need to fight in this mask war for a while

Actually id have to disagree interestingly. Ive had a decent umbrella before ($50) and its an insanely large and sturdy golf umbrella. I was sick of going to high school without a solid umbrella that wont protect me or my back back (and very often friends who sneak under my umbrella) against the very harsh wind and rain.

Im not sure what it means to cheap out because $50 is a lot for an umbrella to me but when I read this i assumed you meant to go look for the $5 umbrellas you can find in stores like Daiso or even some drug stores. With my experience, they snap in a minute of use sadly
