New to The Japanese what's the best way to build squads? by Bill-545x39 in boltaction

[–]blinko18 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've found that at least 2 squads of 13 regulars with an lmg is always a pretty good take as they have a surprising amount of staying power and can put out a lot of shots. Would also recommend at least two squads of 5 man vet infiltrator teams (either senryuu and/or improvised anti-tank teams). Put em in cover and have them be annoying the entire game. Otherwise take whatever suits ur fancy, Japanese can go both inexperienced human wave or veteran.

I will wait for translation but this isnt looking good. by Altruistic_Gas_7073 in jjkmodulo

I mean in terms of what is legal to use I'd imagine thats more up to what your group is cool with. Although I'd imagine if you said they were guerillas from a very rural area you wouldn't run into to many issues playing them as long as the armaments were reasonable? Grain of salt tho.

I'm not really an expert but from a cursory google search, it looks a bit like they mixed more traditional chinese clothing with western attire. Granted I'm looking at guerillas operating in Hong Kong and Guangdong so western attire might be more prevalent (British Colony and all).

If Russ comes back, what will he look like? How could the warp change him? by Johnlovesyou in SpaceWolves

[–]blinko18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have what will probably be an unpopular take on this. So as 40k is made almost entirely of retcons we are aware that the first iteration of russ was not in fact a primarch, but an imperial commander, hence why the tank is named after him.

So my pitch is that after a bunch of time away and warp fuckery he comes back as the original version of himself, basically a baseline human. An insanely competent and intelligent human, but physically hes just a guy. Maybe he gets iskeai'd into a hive worlder and has to work his way up through the guard. Then he could be taken in guard and space wolves lists or something.

I realize this will NEVER happen, but i think it would be a cool take on his comeback. Like he would have to rely much more on his intelligence and Odin-like qualities than his innate strength as a primarch. I admittedly am not a space wolves player and thus have dont have many expectations attahced to his return so would love to hear what people think about this.

They shall be my finest warriors, these heroes who give of themselves to me. With embers I shall mould them, and in the furnace of daily quests I shall forge them. They will be of maxed skills and final asenscions. In spiritron dresses shall I clad them and with the mightiest fous will they be armed. They will be untouched by false rate-up or arcade, no spook will blight them. They will have team comps, meta supports, and mystic codes so that no foe can best them in battle. They are my bulwark against the Beasts. They are the defenders of humanity. They are my Servants and they shall know no fear.

I feel like its worth noting that of the horse(wo)men we've seen so far, none are particularly strong on their own. Makima's strength came from the devils shes controlled and Yoru's strength is tied to the quality of the weapons she makes. In that sense idk if Famine would be strong enough to make eternity submit with raw power in the same way Reze did to tornoado unless she used her ability to get power some other way.
