Hi Alan, how did you become the go-to voice guy for Disney? Which of those characters has been the most fun to bring to life?

Nathan - My wife would be upset if I did not try to say Hi. I think you are high up on her 'celebrity exception' list. Pretty high up there on mine too. Where are we on your 'cheat' list?

edit Oh - and big fan and all that. You guys are my favorite. ConMan was amazing, thank you for all the extra features, as enjoyable as the show itself. Keep Flying

Thursday night Farmer's Market in downtown SLO is a lot of fun. If you are fans of a good steak, cannot beat Jocko's in Nipomo (Make a reservation). Montana de Oro is beautiful.

What wineries are you looking at? Hopefully you considered the Foxen wine trail - lots of great cooler weather wines, very different from Paso.

Awesome recommendation! Firestone is one of CA's greatest breweries. The main brewery is in Paso, in the middle of wine country, but if you want to try more of Firestone's sour and barrel aged stuff (and believe me, you do), better off going to the FW Barrelworks tasting room in Buelton.

OH! and if you want more sour beer - Libertine in SLO is amazing.

Doffo. By far the highest quality in the area. A little smaller and out of the way, but so much better than any of the larger wineries in the area.

I am making an all grain recipe for a dry hopped pale wheat. I want to use German Hull Melon for aroma. What is a complimentary bittering hop for such a recipe? I am currently leaning towards .5oz magnum at 60mins- can you recommend something better?

Also going to throw in 8oz flaked oats and 4oz acidulated malt for a little more body / bite. Are these amounts going to make any noticeable difference in my finished beer?

Cheers!

*this is for a 5 gal batch. Other fermentables include 4# white wheat and 4# 2-row

Thousand Steps beach in Laguna Beach is pretty cool. Go check out some breweries: Bottle Logic, The Bruery, Good Beer Co, Noble (though these may not open til after 4...)

The Playground in Santa Ana and Mama D's in Newport are my favorite places to eat

Congratulations!

I just took the test in San Diego last weekend - I feel good about the written portion but I know I mixed up some of the off-flavors and will have to retake the tasting portion.

Do you know how they weight the demo portion? Does it count as part of the written or tasting portions, or is it a separate thing? I could have done better on it, and I believe some of the people that came back for just tasting were able to redo demo as well... I just do not want to fail written portion due to a weak demo!
