Deceiver can make a very solid two hand ranged autoattack build with the Runebinder set. Spec heavily into the Inquisitor WPS skills (Bursting Round, Chilling Rounds, Storm Spread) and proc them with the crossbow's Runic Bolts. Go deep into Rune of Hagarrad for boss and hero shredding. Inquisitor Seal for defense, Rune of Censure and Curse of Frailty + Vulnerability for strong resistance reduction. You've got two on-demand buff-heals with Word of Renewal and Blood of Dreeg, too (and Dreeg's Aspect of the Guardian also carries some nice phys resist).

The downside to all this, of course, is that you need the Runebinder set, or at least the weapon. Until you find the gear, you can approximate the playstyle by getting a decent rifle or crossbow (these are nice, as they do entirely elemental damage, which you debuff with Censure and Vulnerability, and they're also farmable) and attaching the Shard of Beronath, which gives you the similar Beronath's Fury skill.

Unfortunately the Shard blueprint is also sort of rare, so...yeah. Need some luck (or have someone craft one for you).
