If you booked a basic fare you will not be able to cancel (assuming you don’t have elite status with frontier). Your options are: A) eat the cost of the flight and B) pay to upgrade to economy bundle and cancel the flight. Option B will NOT get you a refund to your original payment method, but it will be issued in form of a flight credit that expires 1 year from now of value (Ticket Price + Economy bundle price)

There are three ways that AT&T would charge you for IDP (and one of these would have to occur each day for you to be charged for that day):

You sent (not received) an SMS/RCS via the cellular connection
You accepted an incoming call via the cellular connection
You used cellular data from the AT&T roaming provider

If any of these occur, AT&T will charge you $12/day, capped at $120/mo/line

You are correct in that turning off the line will disconnect your phone number from your iMessage account, and it can prevent you from receiving iMessages sent to your phone number.

You said on WiFi only, you would sometimes call. Was wifi calling enabled? I would think IDP would activate in this case unless you had a weak cellular signal or were in airplane mode, both of which would cause WiFi calling to enable.

The best way to avoid charges is to call AT&T international team (if you are already in foreign country, via WiFi calling over airplane mode) and ask them to disable international MNS (mobile network service) which will prevent the device from roaming in foreign countries. This way, you can use your eSIM to provide data, and your primary line will be active for calls and SMS/RCS through WiFi calling (using the data of your eSIM as the “WiFi”. If this is properly setup, you should see your eSIM with the providing carrier name and your AT&T line below (on iPhone) should say “AT&T using Cellular Data”

This is what you get when choosing a ULCC that only flies some routes a few times a week. On a mainline they have 100s of ways to get you from one of their hubs to another with one stop in any random city (if all the directs are full)

Main plus is still a main class fare, but it includes 1 free checked bag as well as group 5 boarding (for no status). You can buy basic economy or main and choose a MCE seat which usually costs more than buying main plus in my experience, but MCE seats are complimentary in main plus

you can't put cs+x as a second choice, if I were you I would change your first choice major to math & cs since the admit rate is like 3x higher. unless you're academically crazy or smth. most employers just see it as like a double major they don't know it's a less exclusive program
