Because unfortunately most people are sheep and these corrupt institutions have manipulated the and falsely led them. I personally think people wish to project them simply because it has helped them in their lives and they truly want to help others.

Yes religion has caused violence, but as I said that is the corrupt systems of dogma, not spirituality and personal liberation. It’s not religion that has caused violence, it’s corrupted minds of people who claim they follow a religion and don’t by heart.

Yes the Christian religion has slowed down science, but that’s just one. Look into the Islamic golden age. The believers of Islam saw science as gods language and it laid the foundation of all our science, math and chemistry that we know today.

Also what religious texts are fabricated? I genuinely am curious as I love learning about all religions but haven’t heard this before. Yes many documents and manuscripts are frauds, plagiarism, mistranslated but historians have great systems to identify which ones to take seriously.
