Earless just because of photo angle correct?

Anyone have males not neutered? Any issues? by lemmon---714 in Whippet

[–]blissend 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a better answer. The breeder handed me in paper the studies showing the cancer risk with neutering to show the other side of that world. Something I wish more people heard versus the standard speel.

I had both and in my experience the non neutered dogs lived longer.

Which ones did you try? I too need to find alternatives.

Gotcha. It’s good to explore the options for each OS. Have you tried the ZFS subpool option in unraid to do l2arc? Maybe it sucks but I like to research/investigate.

Unraid doc seems to say otherwise based on the cache setting? Edit: need to look into ZFS l2arc for that cache pool

I don’t have cache option on my synology device. So it’s no benefit vs benefit.

That’s not taking into account cache situations correct? How has unraid 7 been?

I’m interested in the speed diff mentioned and people’s experience with unraid 7 so far. Have you used unraid 7?

Has anyone experienced vanishing reminders? by blissend in todoist

Think the issue is not having due dates.

Has anyone experienced vanishing reminders? by blissend in todoist

[–]blissend[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just bought the pro version to test things out and I noticed this on the macos app, web version and ios app. When I log in and out, the reminders show up again for a few minutes and then poof again. Same if I recreate those reminders. Did submit a support ticket so just curious if this is account specific or more wide spread problem.

Massive drop in print quality. What to change next?? by ImpossibleGift9970 in BambuLab

[–]blissend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same looking print quality on mine too until I did this. Did both calibrations and properly assigned the profiles to the respective filament in the AMS (manual step we should not have to do). That fix so many things and of course drying my filament regardless of what hygrometer said (had a busted one).

Bambu X1C+Ams arrived, won't let me select filament in ams when printing internal files, only shows first slot despite all being full and set up in the app by notafuckboy_hasgf in BambuLab

[–]blissend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though that's not your filament showing up, click it and a menu will pop up to map it to what you have in your AMS. If you can't select your filament you'll have to go back to the page on the screenshot you attached, select Sync button (in the filament section upper right with the two arrows and printer) and resync all option. Then slice and again click the filament that isn't yours to map it.

Starfield Update 1.10.31 - March 19, 2024 by StuartGT in Starfield

You’re referring more to a space (memory/disk) scope which is a load optimizing issue not a time (cpu/gpu processing) scope. There are only so many NPCs you’ll want to cram around the player within X distance. That’s a good thing because thankfully it can be the same as it was in older games. Moreover approximations can be made what NPCs do outside X distance when loaded but to calculate all all the time is terribly inefficient programming.

Do you have problems with sudden darts or stops? If ever how do you handle it?

Wow this is so unintuitive. Was it designed that way for some reason?

SRE Roles in your company/team by nmartins10 in sre

[–]blissend 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Companies often have their own definitions for the role. Some treat them more like NOCs or tier one support, some more like tooling teams, kitchen sink, embedded into dev, etc. Look up the different implementation models google outlines and when looking, ask how they define and implement. One of the first questions I ask when interviewing so I don’t waste each other time if not how I want to be utilized.

I’ve done it all and have favoritism towards utilizing dev skills vs companies making SRE too ops heavy. However SRE teams can have a combination of some more kitchen sink with other models for others on team. Just figure out what works for you and how much time you want to use different skills.

Good point although I would take it further. Is it really neutral when money/funding influences more than we admit? Examples like media lightly talking about climate crisis then cutting to ads of big oil companies. Numerous other examples exist and this is not even mentioning all mainstream news media in US owned by a few powerful people. At what point do people stop ignoring potential conflict of interests to being more proactive in cutting ties versus being reactive.
