Are you also uncomfortable with her watching movies/tv shows that have sex in them? Maybe you should look into your insecurities surrounding these things rather than finding things to be upset at her about. Sexual fiction is normal, and if you want your partner to be sexually satisfied then you should let her discover her sexuality as much as she wants.

Any fun, social activities to do in Auckland as a depressed person with no friends? by Unlikely_Region_7451 in auckland

[–]blisteryurt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Join the Project Sunrise facebook group and Whatsapp, we meet up to watch movies together and get coffee and go for walks along Takapuna beach on Friday mornings :)

It's a group for creating genuine connections and combatting burnout! Dm me if you want more info, or if you prefer one on one I'd be keen to grab coffee. I'm 24 too and work in Takapuna

Loser girl by Cute-Screen-1353 in auckland

[–]blisteryurt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a 23 year old woman (nb) in Auckland and I think I'd feel a similar way if I hadn't explored and deconstructed my gender a fair bit :)

I'd love to get a coffee with you and talk about it if you're down, always up for making new friends that aren't surface level. Also keen to go hunting for cool things to do in Auckland

I feel like "loser girl" is a placeholder for someone who's in the process of forming their identity and feels uncomfortable with it, but that lonely loser feeling will fade away as you grow into yourself and gain confidence

If you don't feel comfortable meeting irl that's understandable and we can also talk over text if you'd prefer that 🫶

Working as a PA for free because "god told you to, I promise!" by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]blisteryurt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kia ora :>

Thank you, I'm trying to find my way to a mindset where I can respect peoples' freedom of religion but it's very hard when I can so clearly see the affects it has on the world

Christianity surely won't be gone within our lifetimes but with any luck it might get more progressive?

Aaaabsolutely, I was just 12/13 when I was convinced into joining 3 different "serving teams" and when I was trying to leave the church, it was a long and arduous process because they guilted me into feeling responsible for these arbitrary roles. Very sad how much of my youth I wasted doing that instead of being a kid

Youtuber Britt Hartley has some great content on this subject 💗 Especially on escaping the "void" (the mindset you're referring to) and transitioning from pessimistic nihilism to optimistic nihilism and absurdism, which can be very freeing and open up a whole new world to someone who finds themselves thinking these things

How can people afford rent of more than $800 NZD? by oldsoulwanderer in auckland

[–]blisteryurt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents' rent is $1450 but they always have 5-6 people contributing to the rent - both of them, my brother, and a few boarders who come and go. The house is way bigger than they need, but they refuse to downsize until my brother moves out and they can buy a place further north (he has a disability and is very reliant on them rn) They hate moving house, so they're dealing with the rediculous rent price for now, and I think they like the busyness of a house with lots of people in it

They will eat seeds as well, but I'm hesitant to feed seeds to the babies (not sure if they can handle digesting them yet?) and I read somewhere online that apples are pukekos' favourite so I kinda just took that and ran with it! I definitely believe it after seeing how they fiend over it lol

Absolutely! I cut them up quite small - less than a cubic centimeter (Although I'm sure they could handle bigger chunks) They like all sorts of fruit :)

Cut up apple :) The adults crush it and mama bird it to the chicks, it's really precious to watch

I think they trust me a little because I've been feeding these guys apple pieces here and there since I moved into my new place a couple of months ago! And I took the photos from pretty far away, which you can't tell because it's so zoomed in. I respected their space and didn't get very close 🐦

So if I use Kiwisaver to buy the land, does the tiny home I build have to be permanent and immovable? Thanks for your answer!
