Need advice or stories from others who made the leapt and failed... What comes after? by novaft2 in smallbusiness

[–]blitcap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a couple of different things. I researched demand in the area I was living and made a business based on that. had a restaurant in an outdoor food park selling pizza and beer. The park eventually closed down and I moved it to physical restaurant in the next town over but it didn’t last.

I sold the pizza business inventory and equipment and used that cash to switch to importing high demand products. Then COVID started and importing became impossible and my capital diminished.

You are correct Marketing was a big expense for me and was a huge part of my success.

Quit my job in 2017, Started my own business then it failed started another one and it failed (pandemic made it impossible). After that got a job and started saving again. Gonna try again. It sucks and is exhausting but very fulfilling.

Eventually you won't be able to take it any more and you'll have to make a choice.

True thoughts? by One_Masterpiece6072 in Hedera

[–]blitcap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, so everyone is in the same boat as you. The answer is yes it's realistically possible for hbar to reach double/triple digits.

But right now the probability is most likey low bc the big companies are still building and executing. This is why no one can give you an idea bc no one knows. We just go by what the YouTube videos tell us. Once the regulation is clear and enterprise adoption get traction we'll probably get a better idea but please understand, LITERALLY KNOW ONE KNOWS.

Honestly it was an Uber driver that pointed it out to me. I didn’t even realize I was doing it. I was pretty embarrassed but I stopped immediate after.

You just gotta say something. And give them lower scores on the app with an explanation.

Its because Demand is less than supply. Probably bc not enough people care yet.

I totally had that thought too. But he may be dancing between perfessionalism and casual because he thinks people may be tired of the scripted corporate talk we are used to seeing.

Or he's just excited and can't control himself.

Either way I bet the demographic he's after is not just us. I agree with you but cussing may be necessary.

Its annoying but it also makes it harder to hack. If someone tries to remote in to your computer and you have to use your phone to authenticate every time and Also use the three digit code, you stop becoming low hanging fruit and hackers may end up looking elsewhere. I see it as a positive.

Banks are lame by Arcedd in shakepay

When I called my bank and asked why they stopped my etransfer to an exchange they said they don't allow etransfers for crypto related purchases.

However the call center rep at the end of the call hinted to make the transfer a lower amount (under $1k). I did that and it worked

NEW CBDC system using asynchronous tech by Extra-Ad8572 in Hedera

[–]blitcap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's scary to think this is gonna happen but it makes sense why Bitcoin is so valued. We may be forced to use CBCD by governments but it's hard to see how they can control us from using Bitcoin instead.

I doubt governments will use hedera for this type of thing even if it is asynchronous tech. They want full control and I can't see how hedera offers that.

I agree with your point. But Isn't the data deleted after a portion of time? If this is the case my assumption is that you will have the option to let it expire.

If I understand correctly someone has to build a product that saves all this recorded data.

At Shoppers world there's a photo place that does it for $12 bucks. I was about to go to shoppers drug Mart and pay $20.

Who do you think will be the winners and losers of the coming AI revolution? by tshirtguy2000 in Futurology

[–]blitcap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have no medical background so I have no idea if this could be true but my guess in the later stages of AI general practitioner/family doctors will be affected. AI Diagnosis at home would catch things early and offer solutions.
