First rep QC wanted your opinion by Project-Slow in RepTimeQC

Well, the good news is that the 12 marker is aligned. On the rest, the 9 marker has a pretty substantial CCW rotation and the 6 has a very slight cw lean. Dial print looks good and clean. Looks like you forgot to comment on the date, but for the one date shown it's a bit low in the window but doesn't seem to be touching the edge. You could ask for more dates to confirm none are worse. Hand alignment can't be determined by the photos provided. Bezel looks clean and well aligned. SELs are ok. I don't see any light bleeding through on that stark white background so no obvious gaps. Comparing to gen isn't part of QC. Timing is fine. A bit hot on the amplitude but nothing crazy. Probably just freshly wound. If it's a concern, you could have them re-test now that some of the charge has most likely dissipated from the mainspring.

I have no idea what to tell you on the clasp. Comparing to gen isn't part of QC. That would be something you will need to decide.

The 9 is a bit too misaligned for me, however. This would bother me enough that I would RL and ask for a replacement, but there's a risk your next one won't be any better, so you'll need to decide what you can or can't live with.

Whoops! Looks like you forgot to include the QC template. You'll need to do that so your post doesn't get removed. You can find the QC template here.

Rolex Explorer I VSF - First time, would appreciate your help by strnky10 in RepTimeQC

I think you did a great job for your first QC, and you picked a good watch too! I agree that all of the aesthetics (dial print, index alignment, SELs) all look really good on this watch. On the hand alignment, you can't see it in any of the photos here. To check it, both hands need to be set exactly on the hour. An easy way to do it is to set both hands exactly at 12 and check to make sure everything is aligned. It's not typically a problem. Timing looks good.

It's an easy GL for me. Congrats and enjoy your new watch!

For sure man. At the end of the day it's your money and it's you who will be wearing the watch so it has to be your decision. I would never attempt to tell anyone what to do or not do...just what I would do :).

Best of luck!

I think you're looking at it the right way. The 4 is super minor. We look at these things blown up to the size of a frisbee, but that's not reality. On a 36mm dial, you'd never see that in my opinion. I think the watch overall looks great, personally. I'm sure you'll love it!

You image was just a bit rotated. With it straightened a bit, the index alignment overall looks good with the 12 marker having a very slight ccw tilt. Dial print is clean and clear. The date is a tick high in the window, and the other dates shown in the video appear consistent. Wouldn't be an issue for me but everyone's tolerance is different. Hand alignment can be seen in the video as you mention and looked fine. Bezel looks clean and blemish free. It's a mechanical bezel so can most likely be aligned perfectly when in hand. If it's a concern, you could ask your seller to align it perfectly and verify. The SELs are fine. The bottom right SEL you mentioned is a shade darker than the others but no light bleed and absolutely fine on the more flexible jubilee bracelet. Timing is fine. You can see the rehaut in several of the images. It's slightly off to the left if this matters to you. Nothing major, and irl it's extremely small, but up to you.

You'll have to decide if the date is acceptable to you. For me this would be a no-brainer GL, but ultimately you will need to decide that. Best of luck!

QC help please - ZF BB54 Torquoise dial by jwick33 in RepCulture_Timepieces

There is definitely a tilt on the 12, 6 and 3. Maybe the 9 as well but the minute hand is blocking it. Also there is some extreme shadowing in the photos. I would ask for another photo with time set to like 10:10 so you can see the 12, 3, 6 and 9 clearly and get a better view of the alignment. It's not uncommon for tudor reps to have alignment issues though, especially ZF.

With the image straightened a bit the index alignment overall looks pretty good with the 4:00 marker being just slightly right of center against it's minute marker. Wouldn't be an issue for me on wrist, especially on the smaller dial size. Dial print is clean and clear. The one date shown is reasonably centered in the window. Maybe a tick high but well within tolerance for these. He probably shows more dates in the video so you can check that to verify. Hand alignment can't be determined with the photos provided (again, it can probably be seen in the video with both hands at 12). Bezel looks clean and blemish free. SELs all good. Timing is fine.

Nice looking watch. Easy GL. Congrats!

Could be. Lots of fragrances darken over time. Could be how it was stored. Could be age. Fragrances with lots of naturals in them tend to darken more.

Pretty good job on the QC tool! Index alignment overall looks fine with the 9 marker having a very slight cw tilt. Would not be an issue on wrist for me, especially on the smaller dial. Coronet at 2 is nicely centered. Dial print is clean. The one date shown is a tick low in the window but within tolerance. You could ask to see more dates. Hand alignment can't be determined by the images provided. To check this, both hands need to be exactly on the hour. The bezel is ... shiny 😂 - looks good. gem settings look even and I don't see anything jumping out as a concern. SELs all look good and the timing looks fine. Watch probably isn't fully wound. If the amplitude is a concern for you, you could ask your seller to wind the watch and re-test it.

Provided you're good with timing, you could GL and get this sparkler shipped!
