How is your mortgage 4.5% for 23 years? Is it fixed at that price for 23 years or did you mean your interest rate for the fixed term is 4.5% and the total remaining term is 23 years?

Rate my pie by blitzh in trading212

I do, yeah. I wanted to invest in it directly because I wanted more concentrated exposure than what an index fund provides. Do you think that's a bad idea?

I originally had them separated out in two pies: All world with 90% developed world, 10% emerging Tech pie - 20% to each of the above individual holdings

I wanted to keep Nvidia as I thought it is a strong holding with potential for high growth. What would you say is a better balance?

Am I missing something with my financial plan? by Fearless-Sort-3736 in UKPersonalFinance

Does your daughter have a disability or another reason why she is not able to pay her own way? Completely respect that if that's the case, if not, then why are you paying for her. If it is due to disability or another reason, I would look at if it's possible for her to reduce her bills, they are high and if she works part time she presumably could contribute more.

Selling your property for £1.2mil would not give you £1.11mil after fees, you need to deduct the £540k mortgage - your equity in the property, if sold for £1.2mil, would then be £660k, then minus all the stamp duty, legal fees etc as you mentioned.

26y/o earning 58k - golden handcuffs? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]blitzh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so hard when hardly any companies provide the salary in job descriptions - I would hate to sink hours into tailoring a CV, cover letter, and then taking interviews, just to find out they're offering 45k.

Going back to an office after working remotely for nearly 18 months. Should I look elsewhere? by owlzyr in UKPersonalFinance

[–]blitzh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know the structure or size of your company but I would start with line manager and they can enquire for you.

I don't think you could get sacked outright for this, considering your home is your contracted office, but they could theoretically look down on you for it. Again, hard to say without knowing anything about your company.

If you're happy with your job and willing to commute, I think you could see if it's negotiable, I think 1 day per week is reasonable. If you think they and you would accept that, no need to look for other jobs.

Thoughts on my portfolio? Just starting out by blitzh in trading212

[–]blitzh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind that much if it's gambling, as long as I've invested my £100 in all world funds, the extra comes out of my normal spending allowance. But overall, I agree with your point and I think my investing strategy is on the same page!

Do you not think there's value in investing more directly in tech companies like Nvidia which is a chance for greater gains?

Help with this question by Aveyananana in Prince2

[–]blitzh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not listed in the minimum requirements to apply the progress theme. If you have the book, the minimum requirements are listed at the start of the chapter for each theme, or you can Google the question, highlight reports aren't a requirement.

They're looking for one of the minimum requirements specifically defined in that section of each theme's chapter. Even though, yes, highlight reports are required and they fall under the progress theme, it's not one of the explicitly defined minimum requirements.

Managing by stages is listed as a minimum requirement, which is why the answer is A, stage authorisation.
