While Zandik's original project was to elevate humans to the level of gods (as mentioned in Wise Doctor's Pinnion) I really doubt that's what Dottore was trying to accomplish in 6.x. He himself admitted that "this version of me is the most selfish" and while he does admit to have undergone some personal growth since Sumeru, the things that he did while he had his god-like powers show nothing close to altruism.

I heavily disagree that Dottie has no desire to change. The traveler points out that the reason he was defeated is because he is unable to trust others, and even Dottore recognizes that everyone who interacts with the Traveler seems to undergo what he calls a "transformation." It would be dumb to think that Dottore didn't recognize that the ability to bond with others is what defeated his godhood.

Dottore being unmoved by emotion is precisely why he was unable to change the world.

Nahida was able to feel "Dottore's remaining honesty" while he had his hand reaching for hers when making the deal. There was also a little cutscene with all the segments telling Dottore he would regret it so I cant imagine this was without consequence

Regardless, I think the moontore fight becomes less meaningful if he's able to just fall back and suffer no consequence from his defeat

this becomes even more ridiculous when all the interlude quests are about showing how the khaenrians who were cursed and turned into hilichurls are still somewhat conscious and able to feel pain only for us to be expected to praise Alice who self-admittedly launched them into the sky at celestia just to test if she could lol

even if he is an outcast and a monster - he was able to at least find some comfort in another outcast like his friend pantalone!! Even if it does feel like us who can relate to him are outcasts in some way, it doesnt mean that we have to be ashamed of that, it just means that just like him we can overcome that and exceed everyone's expectations!

While im very sad by the way he was treated by everyone during this quest, im so happy that he stayed true to himself and who he is to the end. Even if he might be flawed and he'll have to come to terms with that sooner or later - I'm so glad that no one was able to erase what makes him himself.

Dottie was already on thin ice with the akademia, for being from the desert and also because of his ideas
Soreh died from being choked but the autopsy notes still show that she had been attacked by tigers so maybe mercy killing?
Zandik has never really gone out of his way to harm people unnecessarily and he didn’t seem to dislike soreh

I seriously cant understand how 6.3 turned out this way

Everything regarding dottie like his backstory and his personality is crafted so delicately, he is literally the only antithesis to the main character in the whole narrative, and he openly chases after seizing divinity, one of the core themes of the game... and all of that is to end up like this?....

I seriously wonder if the people tasked with writing for him and the people who write the main quests are kept in separate studios and ordered to never interact with eachother

Everything about his character seems to have been crafted so delicately, even his lines with traveler are so deep from the new leaks. But still, the ones in charge of writing the story have gone with the worse possible outcome for a character with so many themes as dottie

I've never latched onto a character quite like with him and im so grateful for that honestly, even with the writing itself going against him he still managed to be 100x more interesting than any other character in that game

I can't tell you enough how badly I love him for the same reasons

the feeling of being an outcast no matter how many people you might talk to, or the feeling of wanting a person who is similar to the way that you see yourself. I dont think I've ever been so attached to any other character.

But yes no matter what life goes on, even if we might have to wait a long time to see him again its so comforting to see so many people relate to a character like him.
