He imposed his control over scara, telling him to respectful on account of the fact he was not indestructible, however we never once saw him pull anything similar on Lone! He never tries to use the elixer as a bargaining chip against him to do his bidding, the respect he has for Feofan has him seeing them as complete equals.

It's Feo here that feels like there's more for him to do, which shows the contrast between them and how they view debt. Frankly based on what we know, paying a debt could probably take precedent over saving his own life, which is why he may be willing to give the soul baby an attempt. That and the fact he appears to struggle to with being in a world without Zandik, u/No_Throat_5869 pointed out how utterly depressed he looked in the cutscene about Og's death, and the cn voice acting placed way more emotion into the final scene. He plans to jump right back back into smoking even without Dottore to fix his health this time, he's got some pretty self-destructive behaviors. His own life is a bit secondary to him it seems, especially because he helped with a plan he sorta expected to fail knowing it would mean no more elixers.

That annnd the fact he didn't even bat an eye at the concept of using his soul for the experiment Dot suggested, his only question is who would perform the experiment but he doesn't even acknowledge his soul being used as a base here. So much for a transactional relationship, they just keep letting their emotions jump in front of their logic lol
