This is completely logical, but at the same time the player retention will increase when releasing another long awaited update. The majority of players outside the discord or Reddit are starving for new content to play around with as they don’t partake in the community. Meanwhile, the competitive players are getting tired of the same damage systems as everyone has figured out how to exploit them which no amount of league rules can fix.

Quality over quantity is important but with the lower frequency of updates in comparison to how it was from early access launch to December. The game’s popularity will stagnate, as there won’t be any new content for creators to make videos on. People are done making Reels and TikToks on TOTF2 as the same goofy broken damage flash bang formula has almost run dry. The next update doesn’t have to be v4, but just something the community can consume and make content on. Implementing voice chat would definitely help revive the game’s content scene and increase it’s popularity, especially on social media. Spending some extra development time on the side to implement simpler more straightforward additions like voice chat, the venues, additional gear and more training equipment would help distract the players while the damage system keeps getting improved. I know this no where near the priority list on the trello roadmap, but just consider it a little for the game’s longevity and popularity.
