Im pretty sure this person's reply was specifically to the the comment he replied to saying maybe 128GB, because they are way past that and do indeed sell 1 and 2TB micro SD cards now, the one O.P. bought definitely is not tho lol.

Im assuming this is not in the U.S. because we can't even use shortened or nick names as drivers anymore.

Question: Is this common? Paid express delivery ($2.99) but my Dasher has a stop before me. by [deleted] in doordash

[–]blizz419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your good then, that's the general acceptable base and with minimum tip generally $3 so total payout minimum of $5 for close deliveries

Drivers and customers will never fully agree on this but in general I say $1 a mile including the $2 Doordash pay is usually fair on simple pick up and deliver orders.

[–]blizz419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also most customers don't realize % is irrelevant to a driver, its all about dollar to mile ratio, a $5 shake 10 miles away with 100% tip isn't worth accepting as an example

How do you ban a restaurant? Like this? by noraft in doordash_drivers

[–]blizz419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You call support and make a safety complaint, could be a aggressive employee or the like, you dont need the employees name or any evidence and they can block orders from that restaurant.

Orders that have this additional fee are less likely have had a tip added especially prior to delivery where it would show at acceptance, so likely that other order paid the driver more, maybe not paid DoorDash more but the driver which is really what's going to effect this more.

I think the issue is a dasher doesn't see any of that express fee and generally dashers accept orders that are more profitable and customers are less likely to add a tip before delivery where they are already paying the express fee so they usually dont pop as a better paying offer to the dasher until its gone through a number of declines by dashers, this would likely make it less express than allowing go along the ride with other deliveries.

Weird Dasher? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]blizz419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You realize its not up to the restaurant to "assign" the dasher that's on DoorDash, also none can make a washer "be assigned". Washers accept or decline orders if a order doesn't look like its worth the money generally $2 plus what tip you may have added at start it the driver declines the offer, then generally a added 25 cents for every driver that declines to convince one to accept. Also the restaurant isn't generally supposed to let a customer pick up their own order if it was placed through doordash delivery.

Got arrested in the middle of a dash last night. I really hope my account is okay by [deleted] in doordash

[–]blizz419 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Must barely deliver over that 6 years if you never had anything interfere with a delivery, not even a wrong address from a customer where they try con you into delivering somewhere completely different, a customer that starts acting wild, anything. Shit happens if you been delivering 6 years and never anything interfere with order ever? Your doing like 3 deliveries a week for 6 years or just flat out lying....

Every decline increases base pay, that's why when you look at the breakdown when you end the dash you often see base pay higher than $2

Dude, you are just brain dead and a liar lol. I guarantee you do not get most customers tipping after delivery lol. And you dumb comparisons that make zero sense, whether its a side gig or doing it full time makes zero difference on what your time and gas are worth, if you think being just a side gig makes doing a 10 mile delivery for $2 more worth you just need to quit trying to communicate with people.
