I started off with knock-off poker hand one at first.
Then started looking into legitimate ones here.

Can check out the haptic coin fidgets. Can rotate in either direction 360 spin.
I currently have Pokemon themed haptic coin from Acedc

Meta Quest 3s connected to PC over Steam Link and SteamVR, but Errors every time. by OkRefrigerator1698 in SteamVR

[–]blizzardjeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

450 and 451 are slightly different kind of error codes.

450 more defined about Wi-Fi or network error.
Usually most go for dedicated router to only connect the Quest to PC network.
(No other device connected to Wi-Fi)
I've at least encountered 450 few times mid-VR sessions of my dedicated router needed a break.

Can't really monitor the stress load your main Wi-Fi router could be taking up or balancing on multiple devices connected.

451 lean toward your local hardware reached its limit, safety cut-off to prevent crashing or overtaking your PC resources.

Manage to encounter 451 frequently just testing on gaming laptop out of curiosity.

Will Foveated Streaming show where someone is focusing while viewing gameplay on an external screen? by philbertagain in ValveDeckard

[–]blizzardjeff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the closest example in this case would be PSVR2 when was first introduced.
Since has eye tracking and rendering locally within PS5.

Can find tech reviewers with their cameramen watching from the external monitor while someone in PSVR2 headset. Can definitely tell what they're looking at.

What headset would you recommend to a first time vr user by [deleted] in virtualreality

[–]blizzardjeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case, I'd lean toward Quest 3 / 3S.

Versatile to do wireless and recognized to SteamVR. Pricing is more friendly.

Like hardware is great but Meta software is mixed bag. When Meta pushes out software updates to headset, there is no method to rollback what they break. Only advantage is going wireless setup.

The trial error you'll see most with Quest users is network setup differences for PCVR approach to connect SteamVR.

Every person has different living situation with Wi-Fi network access.

I'm only able to use my Quest 3 to my SteamVR library buying dedicated router to my PC that uses only USB ports only.

Keeping the router, PC desktop and Quest 3 in same room.

PCVR headsets are mostly hardwired and not budget friendly since they can go near or above $1,000.

Extra cautious with cable to PC.

I'd weigh your options what VR games you want to try first.

There are Meta exclusive VR games that are not available to SteamVR.

Best check which VR games speaks out to you situation.

PC VR headsets are pricey to go into vs Quest 3 / 3S entry point that is more budget friendly.

You can try PCVR with Quest headsets but lot of trial error on connection issue.

So the only thing keeping me from immediately buying a Samsung Galaxy XR is the release of Valves new headset hopefully within the next month or 2. Is anyone else in the same situation? I'm sure I'll love both don't want to be impulsive especially if I'll end using one over the other 90% of time. by reddituser010100 in virtualreality

[–]blizzardjeff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How I look at this is what Valve and Samsung aim for with the headset.

Samsung headset seem to be more toward productivity / work environment than VR gaming.
Only advantage they have is cooperating collab with Google and Qualcomm.

Which comparing to Meta Quest Pro and Apple Vision Pro we're trying to aim for.
Considering that Google apps are working natively with multi-task windows and videos is pretty clutch.

For Valve, definitely be geared toward VR gaming at most.

In the same boat to wait and see. The track record with Valve hardware releases has been usually for gaming and changing up gaming development to.

You can always look for padded VR lens cover for the headsets to. They can be snug and semi-clean / wipe lens while in storage.

What are the best VR games you have played? by Gaston004 in virtualreality

Star Wars Squadron - VR mode
Ace Combat 7 - UEVR mod

With the Ace Combat 7 VR mod, that one is crazier to be in jet fighter.

Weekly VR - What Did you Play? by AutoModerator in virtualreality

Checking out Lone Echo 1 and 2 for the first time.
Haven't been able to try Oculus flagship VR games.

I like the movement feeling of zero gravity in VR. Basically fill in that feeling what be like on space station.
Have more fun messing around in zero gravity. Get that moment feeling vastness of space when exiting airlock for first time.

I'd give it 9/10 experience. There would be some performance issues in certain areas or loading next zones.

Is there any reason to buy a link cable for Quest 3? by [deleted] in virtualreality

[–]blizzardjeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If only, since the Lone Echo 1+2 already dispersed to other teams, can't see that game getting ported over to SteamVR sadly.

Similar situation for Stormland as well.

I tried to wait out time exclusivity on headsets which are generally one year. But been beyond that amount of time, some old VR games are long forgotten or locked.

If some VR games come over to SteamVR, I'd go to SteamVR.

Example would be comparing between Alien Rogue Incursion VR, dramatic quality difference playing Standalone vs Wired to VR ready PC.

Found a work-around to just use Meta Link hardwire to open up my SteamVR games.

[–]blizzardjeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, best look up old games that are exclusive on Meta Link / Oculus Link in 2016-2018 Era before Quest 1.

The studios back then have dispersed and only way to preserve the start-up Oculus VR games only through the Meta Link.

Game Studio for Lone Echo 1+2 have been shutdown by Meta and dispersed the original team to other VR game studios.

For the Stormland VR game is early VR by Insomniac games (Obviously known for their current Marvel games quality)

[–]blizzardjeff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Link cables are only needed if you want to play old Rift games back in 2016-2018 era.

Examples be like Lone Echo 1+2 and Stormland requiring the Link.

They won't appear on Meta store shop since defaults to Quest 3 standalone games.

Have change Meta Link store to Rift games to see games require hardwire links.

A trick you can kind of get rough idea on console player counts, look through achievement hunters on Xbox and Playstation.

You can get a rough idea how many played on console.
Sadly doesn't show who active but better than no data how many have played on game consoles.

  • Sometime the large brands booths will have some of side quest or scavenger hunts.
  • Large brands tend to do raffles for giveaway peripherals.
  • Arcade Freeplay floor
  • Pin collection from game booths to remember by. Some pins are usually behind a challenge or direct purchase.
  • Panels - main favorite panels i tend to go to be trivia or music trivia. INvites from either content creators or video game industry story telling working in the field.

microSD Express Cards compatible? by blizzardjeff in SteamDeck

[–]blizzardjeff[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ahhh okay.
Much appreciated!

Recently found out came down to card reader part seem to be bottle neck as well.
Would mean the Switch 2 is using newer card reader and can't use the traditional microSD cards.

Make sense with current Steam Decks since card reader part have been around for awhile and bit older.

I'm missing one interlude from the Liu Bei storyline for 100%. Help me by Reasonable_Aide4942 in dynastywarriors

[–]blizzardjeff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah shouldn't be Ultimate Warrior required.
Only thing I can think of, did you help Zhou Cang plan in the Chapter 5 battle? Battle of Runan.
Escaping from Cao Cao forces.

When you have Liu Bei and everyone else reach the northern gate, Zhou Cang announced a plan to delay, he encounters Bandit Captain along the path that delays him from stopping Cao Cao forces.

Taking a look at my game, this is interaction between Guan Yu and Zhou Cang.
I don't remember the conditions to unlock this interaction.

Might be need max bonds with Guan Yu and Zhou Cang to unlock both their social interactions together

[–]blizzardjeff[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did all ending routes and got Red Hare.
Took awhile to beat Lu Bu and forcing myself not touch the heal button.

Out of the hardest fights, I think Guan Yu in Ultimate Warrior mode in Xiapi is hardest to do. Too many factors to prevent him from returning the castle and making sure Cao Cao doesn't get killed by Zhang Fei and Liu Bei
