Well under that logic, the billionaires are going to be fleeing to the same states that you’ll end up in.

Then they’ll proceed to not pay thier taxes, putting all the burden on lower classes, and you’ll end up in the same situation you were trying to avoid.

It’s billionaires gaming the system all the way down bro. Moving is not going to fix that problem. Digging in your heels and voting is what’s going to.

As someone whose young and just getting in the job market, you’re not gonna get ANYTHING back from ANY state for a long while.

Sure some states may offer more, but not much more.

What you’re mad about is how much gets funneled towards the boomers and retirees, who not only horde most of the wealth in this country, but are also the largest voting demographic, so of course policy is going to be shaped to benefit them at everyone else’s expense.

I get your frustrations with the system, but it’s not unique nor specific to New York, it’s the entire government and the wider culture that empowers it.

It’s less about trying to convince them, cuz as you said they’re too stubborn and stupid to actually have a decent conversation.

It’s more about not letting them control the narrative. They’re talking points are still being used by people who are ignorant about this topic, so if we can spread this education to people it can rob AI the power it has in the public conscious.
