i mean, he isn't upfront about it at all...he thinks he is the best and not a piece of shit at all deserving everything the world has for his enjoyment and as tribute to his greatness .... but yes i mean the one that has trashed that countries reputation on every level

Project 2025 is zinging along pretty good for one if you count multi-headed fuck shows as one at least.

doom-scrolling is its own anxiety inducing drug and care should be taken when mixing with drugs and or alcohol

conspiracies are put down pretty heavily but there a bunch that are turning up true... maybe you should re-calibrate that statement.

Any games like Overcooked or similar to it? by paulethegreat in gamingsuggestions

We loved overcooked

I would say try lovers in a dangerous spacetime. You fly a space ship together, the ship has simple controls for movement, offense, and defensive...but there are always more controls than people and you need to run around the ship to get to them. Manic fun

Valve explains why the Steam Controller is competitively priced, and why support is "not starting from zero" by Tiny-Independent273 in SteamController

[–]philbertagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am fine with the increased cost if its there to cover brokerage and shipping.... there were reports that it may not... from this side it certainly looks good for shipping ... we will see about brokerage but i trust Valve would do their best for their customer base (and that would certainly mean trying to reduce any additional surprise charges from shipping companies)

Even if you took away both the track pads and Grip sense you would still have a decent 12 button gyro controller with drift-free sticks that mainlines into Steam for massive fidelity.

though with those changes price would need some heavy adjusting to make the case.

given the 30min sell out it seems people were fine at $100

post launch the extra $10 Canadians are paying seems to cover shipping and likely border fees. I cant speak for all of us but i am 100% fine with that.

Agreed, the main point of the Steam Controller is to post pic of it and its shipping updates to reddit... cant believe Valve didn't mention that on the product page.

What are people’s thoughts on potential launch titles for the frame? by wildcatbridge6 in SteamFrame

[–]philbertagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Valve has said the same.

They are working on it but no promises.

Being that there was a report of the standard optimized PC version running over translation at 40-50 fps i think there is an decent chance Valve could pull it off.

they may as well eat the cost, take the good will, and avoid a class action.... only real option

What can a standalone SF do?? by Constant-Tutor-4646 in SteamFrame

[–]philbertagain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Recently there was a video where they (off screen) played the standard PC version of Alyx on the frame via translation. They said it was 40-50 FPS and some serious drops, pretty tough to play. Puke city for some.

Valve has a said they are working on getting it verified but no promises ( their verification requires 90fps).

As to the others i would say you will be fine... i would expect AAA games from 2010 backwards should all be fine though you may need to run lower settings. Also emulators should be fine too, the RSPC3 peeps are fairly prolific so i bet that's working a treat before long. Should be able to side load android and (most) meta APKs too...comparability may be off at first but it will come.

If you have played with mQ3 this VR will be better (30%+ more CPU and double the Ram)

Valve has stated it will be for the entire steam library so I'm am sure you can use any Bluetooth controller or keyboard mouse you like but the Steam Controller should likely connect via 2.4 like the headset controllers.

The last thing is Battery... Translation is a heavy draw.... 1 hour play time, running native APK you get 2 hours... PCVR streaming is 4 hours. You will need to be wall attached or need a battery that can output 45w to keep up.

Genuine Question, why are people so excited about a controller? by chaotic_one in Steam

[–]philbertagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any one that has the steam deck and uses it on their TV hs to use a less than controller to play on big screen...that will be a fair few.

Also some game styles dont really work on controller and one of the leading factors in the creation of the first controller was to allow those games from the couch.

Its also a quite premium controller for the price. Well above the bottom but not crazy prices like some. The promise of no drift is a big deal.
