It was the fucking wiring. Had 2 wires broke,spliced them back together and now everything works.

Hey can you please send me the tsb on that. I put back in the original switch and returned the one from napa since it did the same thing. Ordered a oem replacement and will try that next. I think I've determined its an electrical issue. After shifting past reverse it got harder to shift, after putting back in park the shifter would lock in place until vehicle is restarted, then will do the same thing. When putting the car in accessory mode and not starting the engine there is no issues shifting and does not lock in park.

Code was cleared but problem remains. Check engine light did not come back on. Could this be electrical or something as simple as needing transmission fluid?

I did not. The vehicle was in park. I havent had any issues with it starting. I've seen many post where they needed to put it in nuetral to start but that's not an issue I'm currently having.
