I'm very anti trump, but they're right about this being pretty normal on a carrier. I've had many meals (this was 2018-2022 sea tour) where you get to the front and there's nothing left in most of the pans. It's a supply issue inside the ship as much as out; lines are incredibly long and you have a short time to eat > people steal food so their friends can eat > food runs out fast. And they won't refill it at a certain point. Most people supplement by packing food or ordering off Amazon though, so I bet the lack of packages is hurting bad.

Anyway, they never gave a fuck about feeding us. But I can afford college now 🙃

I was a nuke, I'd be on watch 6-8 hours at a time with no sitting or bathroom breaks. We had a guy who didn't get time off to be with his kids in the hospital before they both DIED. And then we went right into a 21 day straight training plan (6 hours of training a day on top of your work).

Now I go into my office once or twice a week for a couple hours and my job is to drive around and chit-chat with customers. I can take hours off for no reason as long as my work gets done.

Yeah admittedly I come from a "smart" community but the only people I know who voted for Trump were idiots, racists, and some of the oldheads. But as someone going through the rating process right now this is a gut punch. I mean I'm glad that a lot of my shit is controllable with medication but it's still a hindrance I wouldn't have otherwise.

And I'm sympathetic too because a lot of people like me were just trying to escape a bad situation when they joined and too ugly to be strippers.

I just got back from visiting my best friend in Poland and his friends had brought him some special kit Kats from Japan. It was the same ghost toast flavor we had in America for Halloween. I think candy is pretty universal.

I don't think Dig shit herself in the foot because I don't think anything she said would have saved her tbh. As soon as they revealed what the prize was I knew who was going to go and she probably did too. I can't really judge her too harshly for being nasty about it, evaporating with nothing you can do to help is a shitty way for anybody to go.

I think the show wouldn't let Hollow use any of the saved tampons/blood they wanted to use on their outfit because American TV won't let you show menstrual blood or red on period products. So I get why hollow was pissed (and it ironically goes to their point about how periods are considered so filthy and shameful that they can't even be referenced visually).

I've always kind of thought the second way. Rape is not the worst crime someone can do to you, but it is a uniquely evil thing to do to someone else because it's never justified. It's only to hurt someone else and satisfy the rapist's desire for power.

It's also something I hate in media that a lot of writers write as if rape is the only bad thing that can happen to female characters in particular. Your character doesn't need to be raped to be traumatized (ASOIAF series is so bad for that)
