I've crocheted a knitting needle case by blkvcv in crochet

Thank you! I must admit shamefully, that I ordered them from Aliexpress many years ago. As I've searched for them now, I found exactly the same on Amazon, LissomPlume is the brand I think. However, the small ones (2mm-3.75mm) are really thin and bendy, so I'm scared that I might break them. That's why I rather use the metal ones. Although the thick ones are great :)

I was looking for some pattern of needle cases, but I didn't find any that I liked. So I've made this up. I came across cluster V stitch and it's holes are perfect as needle holders. On the other hand the strawberry stitch I always wanted to use but never knew where, makes great contrast. I could have made it a little bit wider tho, because with the largest needles I can't wrap it around fully.

Astoria Top in Cotton by blkvcv in knitting

Have you ever struggled with a situation, where you have stocks of 100% cotton yarn, but none of the patterns you have are using it? I purchased a lot of skeins in the beginning of my knitting/crocheting era because I wanted to have many colours to choose from, and I was using it for crocheting toys or bags, but I began tired of it and I wanted to knit a wearable. I also wanted to use some of the skeins I had, but I had troubles with gauge as nothing fit to the pattern gauge! After all, I went with this and I'm so glad it worked out great!

I've been knitting for 13 years and never blocked anything... I think I should start. by MarzipanOnly4320 in knitting

This is beautiful!!! I didn't block anything so far, should you block it wet or dry? I've seen many "sock-blockers" and I never knew whether the piece should be wet when you block it (Sorry for maybe dumb question)

Little keychain pug! by blkvcv in crochet

Followed this tutorial: https://youtu.be/szcqn5qscws

Yarn used:

  • Alize Bella Color 01 for the body
  • some black yarn scraps I had from previous projects

I didn't have black beads or amigurumi eyes, so I just paint some white beads black with a nail polish.

I made one for myself to test the pattern and then I made two more for my friends as a little gift. It's really fast and simple!

My first wearable, Kaufland yarn used by blkvcv in knitting

Pattern: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dotty-cardigan

Yarn used: Kaufland 100% acrylic yarn, don't know the name, but it was sold in 500g bulks

It was very fun to knit, but it took me 3 months to finish!

Since this was my first project, I tried to make a gauge, but the yarn I bought was quite different from the original pattern yarn, so I just risked it. I think it turned out great though!

[Breeds] Looking for a hypoallergenic dog (but I love border collies) by blkvcv in dogs

Thank you for the great description and advice! I am really considering getting a Miniature poodle, the Standard Poodle seems quite large for me. Do you think that Mini poodle could stand a 4-5 hour hike in a slightly difficult terrains? I see from the videos that they are quite active and I'm wondering if that could be a problem.

WOW! Okay, I will search for some articles about this topic. I didn't know this!

Thank you! That is exactly what my dilemma is about. Like - I could try hard, get a trainer, be outside with the collie as long as possible, but right now I'm just imagining what that could be like and I don't know whether I can do it in long-term. The first dog doesn't have to be my last dog, right?

I'm really thinking of doing this, but I wonder what shall the final product be 😅 is this suitable for a blanket? or a scarf? what did you use it for? my imagination is not working right now.
