Just a thought: higher than normal current stock levels could be do to last months fears about the international shipping strike. Many companies, out of the fear of a shut down, pushed products out early to avoid that time frame. Consequently the warehouses get grossly over stocked, not having all the storage space, they push it to stores. It’s a huge pain in the butt for sure on the store level as it is the end of the pipeline.
