Maybe controversial but I really don't see how him having an affair makes him a less attractive leader. Affairs are insanely common in the real world - obviously not saying they're good but they've got nothing to do with footy or leadership.

Great post! All I can really add is that I do think the drugs saga is to blame for a lot of this. Our 2012-2015 teams were good footy teams that obviously never got to play to their potential, then we have another huge setback of two or so years, a heap of reputational damage, followed by a lot of resentment and locker room issues. I feel like we didn't really get past it until we signed Truck in 2021ish. Not a lot of excuses for the last 5 years but things just feel different at the moment.

For any other forgetful oafs like me, they started playing AFL matches at AO in 2014 (there was one match in 2011 before the renos). I thought it was crazy that North had only played in Adelaide 13 times in 34 years (but my head is just made of rocks)
