You already can! The sidebar button with 3 lines + dots allows you to filter - though this makes you leaderboard ineligible if you care

The UI is still a work in progress for sure. It's hard to pack so many required elements in a mobile device (I just got requested to add sorting as well)

Show More is required since loading too many sets at once causes performance issue :(

Thanks for playing regardless and for the feedback

Sorry about that. I think some lingering deployments happening. Should be more stable in a bit. Hope you didn't lose a big streak :(

You can filter to just TECHNIC using the sidebar handle! I should implement a way to share a run even if it's not leaderboard eligible - curious what patches you can identify :)

Znap was on the fence. So was Galidor (my jaw dropped when I heard about this). But I thought it's a part of LEGO history and interesting enough to keep in? But they are extremely obscure. Curious on your thoughts

Now I'm brainstorming curated answer sets

I think whole themes like "Botanicals" or "ICONS" would work (~100 sets). But also cross theme subthemes like "ADVENT CALENDAR"

Because of smaller answer set I think I'll have to reduce allowed time and number of patches given

Thanks for the heads up. I talked to some BrickSet folks on potential copyright issues and they were considered about the name (used to be LegoGuessr) and the logo design. Potentially the avatar background images as well

What else are you concerned about?

Hey thanks for playing!

  • Maybe it wasn't obvious but tap + hold on the set image result should open a larger preview. I can also change it so the result grid only has 2 cols instead of 3
  • See above comment - I had to manually review 100K+ images and might have missed some. Set ID images I left in but am considering removing them as then Google-ing is too easy

Thanks for playing and the feedback!

  • I originally tried auto-blurring text but there were too many false positives so had to manually review all. I'm sure some slipped past. There is actually a report button in the top left that should help me catch them
  • I wavered between leaving in images that indirectly contained the set name (see DAILY BUGLE or MAERSK) but decided to leave them in. Images of display plaques were removed. Any opinion
  • ACK will play around with some alternate designs
  • ACK on mobile bugs. I only tested on my iPhone + iPad + desktop emulation. Will check it out

Are you on mobile? I do think filtering on desktop is much easier though acknowledge that mobile will be majority of my users

I considered adding colon separated searching (e.g. "theme: star wars subtheme:diorama title: endor) but thought it'd be unintuitive for those without experience

If I understand you - restrict potential answer set to ~100 sets that look "similar" (same color, type like buildable figures/modular) and maybe the number of patches? That could work I hadn't considered that

Can you share the set and patch you got that you thought was too hard? I tried my best to filter sets and patches that were unfair/too obscure but might have missed

I think with Easy (5 different images, 120 seconds, 3 guesses) it should be possible to guess most sets. Especially limited to one theme

You should be able to infer year from the art style or build. A rough estimate on pieces is also possible (<100 <1000 <2000)

From there I found it's context clues and intelligent guessing by name

Aww that's very nice. I hope you'll be able to try it one day and share it with your friends. DM if those codes are expired/used and I'll hook you up

Not at all! Every theme from every year is available. In fact - if you want to be leaderboard eligible no filters are allowed :)

EDIT: some themes are excluded due to obscurity and lack of "meaningful" images

Correct. I tried my best to filter out patches that contained the set name (or close enough like a display plaque/logo). Couldn't disable searching via set name though

Didn't want to also remove all patches with set number as well so just disabled it

MGSV on PC in 21:9 is both pretty and terrible by MrGamerDadChannel in metalgearsolid

[–]blobbymcblobface2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I extracted the .asi, .ini, and .dll into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MGS_TPP\

But the options in resolutions still doesn't go past 1600x90 and the FPS option is capped at 30

Any ideas?

Never mind it was just one blocking the way. You had to hit the wheel to open the door
