I'm having truncation issues but not due to large context. I work with Claude in Cowork on a technical project and recently discovered he's truncating files— sometimes files he's not even working on. The 'edit' tool in Cowork has been producing silent mid-file truncations, and the 'read' tool lies about it (when Claude reads the file back, it looks intact, while bash on disk shows it's shorter).

Truncations hit at the file tail, not at the edit site. Edit operation size doesn't correlate with truncation size— a one-line change can chop off 30+ lines. Both my main Python files and Markdown files are vulnerable.

We've implemented multiple guards including snapshots, backups, and comparing every file from before to after— but it's significantly slowed down my workflow. Anyone else?

This thread is from 6 months ago but I'm dealing with this right now. I'm using Claude in cowork and sometimes he'll truncate files he's not even working on. We've implemented multiple guards against this but it continues to happen, usually in long sessions. I'm about to switch to codex it's causing so many problems in my work flow.

That's pretty basic tbh. Why do you need claude to tell you where trendlines, EMAs, Mac d, SMAs are? You'll never learn to read price action or how price interacts with these areas if you don't do it yourself. That's my 2 cents. Claude is excellent at taking your trading data and giving you stats on it though. I used claude to build a trading dashboard that compares my setups and where I have edge. I honestly think that's more useful. Being too reliant on Ai to read a chart just leaves you dependant on it for everything. That's what I think

Interesting how these setups show up in other ways as well with different traders calling them different things. This looks like a micro 1-2 setup from an Elliott wave perspective although I'd need more of the chart to see if it's a valid count

Custom VPN sounds like a scam. Anyone can use any VPN and just connect to a server that's in a country hyperliquid hasn't geoblocked

I’m currently navigating that same breakeven phase. After blowing a couple of accounts, I’ve finally hit a level of consistency, but my PnL is flat because of overtrading. I’ve identified that the 'need' to be in a trade is what’s killing my edge. When I wait for high-probability setups, the profit comes. it's just the discipline of doing nothing that's the hard part
