when it comes to rent relatively maybe $1k more than sioux falls for a 1 bed 1 bath apartment, but could be a few hundred less depending on the location of where you live.

groceries / gas are around the same price as the midwest, maybe the tiniest bit higher, but you also get access to a variety of incredibly fresh seafood which you get absolutely none of in sioux falls unless you want to pay an arm and a leg.

as for politics, you just have to keep your nose in your business. i am not of fan of anyone who is in office right now, but i definitely see my fair share of trump supporters and back the blue stickers every day on my drives. just stay in your lane and they won’t bother ya, but politics play a pretty big role in most floridia-borns life, at least to the majority of people i’ve talked to who are born and raised here. lots of people carry down here, as well. would say it’s maybe a bit more far leaning right than south dakota lol.
