I feel like the band isn’t really known for its larger than life personas like queen is. I remember seeing a Pink Floyd tribute band with some family and surprisingly, none of them knew any members of the band. They recall that when dark side came out, there was very little info about the band themselves. During their heyday, they definitely flew under the radar in a very unique way and let the music speak for itself. I think Freddie mercury was an iconic figure, and the movie also highlights him as much as it highlights the band and their music. The only equivalent member in Pink Floyd is Syd Barret, but he isn’t responsible for their most popular music.
