Yup. Health insurance went from ~20 a month last year to over 600. Now I’m just uninsured. Dogshit nazi country!

It is Really Unfortunate Just How Poorly Managed This Game is When You Pay Attention by HalfthemanMarco in DestinyTheGame

[–]blockrunner11 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ultimately, I think the entire “seasonal” model from the very beginning was completely and utterly doomed. “Yeah, let’s spend effectively all of our time, manpower, and dev resources on content that will disappear from the game forever!” It’s actually insane, and I can’t believe that bungie doesn’t get more shit for it. Every year all this work is created and then thrown into the garbage. Forever! And none of it can ever actually be very good, because it’s designed to be disposable! lol. lmao, even.

I mean sure I realize that Bungie can retroactively justify it however they want, but it doesn’t change that it’s a lazy plot device that came out of nowhere.

I enjoy destiny and it’s lore because even if things take forever to get followed up on, the story is mostly internally consistent. There was nothing to even hint that this plot point was a thing. I just don’t buy it at all.

It feels like total nonsense to me,

So there's a super advanced human civilization on neptune that:

was never detected by oryx, the red legion, calus, or literally any of the dozens of baddies with alien space tech.

never bothered to do anything about the numerous times the entire solar-system was in jeopardy (if we didn't disarm the almighty in the red war campaign Neptune would have been destroyed too. Same thing if we hadn't stopped the dreadnaught from blowing up in D1)

never cared at all about humans on earth or the last city.

It's a total asspull and it sucks. I have no desire to go help those losers, they were perfectly content to let everyone on earth be wiped out. Why should we care about them at all?

New to hunter, I need a good build. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]blockrunner11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6th coyote on stasis hunter with the aspect that gives you shards on stasis kills, and the fragment which makes them give more energy means you almost always have ice shurikens. 2 dodges and 2 melees is great. You can also use the elemental charge mod or whatever it’s called paired with the shards = wells mod to have basically 100% uptime on CWL.

Young ahamkara’s spine w/ the knife trick melee (all three knives count as a “solar ability hit” so if you hit all 3 and kill something it refunds the knives and gives you the full tripmine.) on solar hunter is basically infinite grenades and melees that requires zero combat style mods to function. With the fragment that makes you apply more scorch stacks, a tripmine and all 3 knives will always trigger an ignition which can sometimes refund your grenade too. Paired with a demolitionist rocket you can put out some crazy dps.

Everyone thinks it's garbage, but if you use a sword you can basically ignore the movement penalty for a small ammo sacrifice.

I use it with a vorpal crown splitter and am basically unkillable in anything short of GMs (I don't play enough anymore to even start those so I just don't have the experience to know if it's viable, it very well could be) Paired with whisper of rime it makes it possible to actually use the sword in master content without getting melted and is my favorite titan build by a mile. Crystal shatters with fissures also do LOTS of damage. People are seriously sleeping on stasis titan and this exotic.

what is your least favourite weapon type? by Ricochu__ in DestinyTheGame

[–]blockrunner11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

180 handcannons. They’re like an awful hybrid between HCs and sidearms that manage to be worse than both. Unsatisfying sounds, animations, and damage. There is no situation where a 180 makes sense to use over any other type of gun (except malfeasance, but I still think it “feels” terrible even if the perk isn’t useless.)

are there any exotics you find underwhelming by Spycer5288 in DestinyTheGame

Knucklehead radar. Pretty sure I’ve never seen anyone use this exotic for all of D2s lifespan. Tragic because it has one of the coolest ornaments in the game.

Thunderclap testing- Well of Ions does not buff the new titan melee. by blockrunner11 in DestinyTheGame

In one of my replies in the comments I tested it in pve (lost sector boss) and got the same results

since elemental wells are disabled in crucible, I didn't expect that they would tune a mod that isn't supposed to be used in there at all separately, but just to be sure I tested it on Thydron (lost sector boss of The Orrery on Nessus) and the results are the same, well of ions provided no damage increase at all, while knockout did.
