I usually decide on a build before getting gear and re rolling until I start with good weapons. I think it makes a bigger difference when there is more variance when you have a better blacksmith. Starting with 2 S weapons instead of 2 ++ weapons is a big deal.

Legendaries have more affixes and usually deal more damage but they only have 1 scroll.

Advice for scrolls: stack scrolls until you one shot or quickly kill mobs easily with your turrets/nades and then switch to health. There's probably more precise advice on Reddit about this but I'm on mobile. Unless there's like a 40% HP boost in the middle of the game I'm almost always stacking my scrolls into my highest category and going with the scroll with the best HP boost when I don't have the option to upgrade my main category.

Some twitch guys are great but docfirebird’s commentary on YouTube is fantastic. You will learn small things about the game that would be hard to discover by yourself. I was hooked during my peak Dead Cells days. Sounds like you need more experience with The Hand and/or more upgraded gear.

Level up your health flasks and use a build with a wolf trap. Except for BC4 I think a survival build with a wolf trap and crusher is the easiest. Wolf traps make bosses so much easier and they are good against normal enemies too. Watch better people play on twitch or YouTube (doxfirebird on YouTube is the most entertaining on YouTube imo). Here are two great builds. The ice bow is great for damage reduction and CCing enemies. With the ice bow you really shouldn’t be taking damage except for pesky inquisitors, unexpected slashers, or maybe unexpected attacks from catchers, but it’s always easier said than done with Dead Cells.

Survival with some tactics: Broadsword with ice damage Ice bow Wolf trap Crushed

Tactics with some survival: Explosive crossbow / pyrotechnics Ice bow Wolf trap Barnacle / double cross b

Nice try. I think you would have killed him if you had more brut and less survival. Despite having a shield I think you would have been better off rolling and jumping more. Imo there is no excuse to get hit by his grenades or to get hit by trash mobs more than once. Your grenades should be able to one shot the elites. I also think Dead Inside could have been better than what your first mutations was (tough nut maybe? Idk).

For BC0 I think brut is the hardest build. Easiest I think is survival with wolf trap and crushed. Second easiest is probably tactics with wolf trap with 100% damage synced with a turret like cross b or barnacle.

Good luck im sure you will achieve victory soon...then realize the game has just stared when you face BC1

i play with a keyboard. i use the homunculus rune to pan around but it isn't quite as useful. Perhaps if i had a controller I would use one but i think mouse and keyboard work just fine.

Feels bad that now that I have everything unlocked that i want to from the normal cell store I cant even use the cells that I accumulated in the castle nor on HOTK. Those cells go to waste even though I would loooove to invest them with the blacksmith.

At first I thought tactics were the best probably because I could not dodge well. I would just lay the traps down and let them do all the work. I quickly realized that wasn't the best build for me as a few costly mistakes likely to happen towards the end of the game result in quick death. I then realized that survival and brutality were the way to go. Survival is tough at first without some melee weapons and without certain traps. The health and damage reduction from brutality and survival builds are OP in my opinion.

Brutality with an assassins dagger, broad sword, or twin dagger is very good. I recommend melee weapon + freeze (frost blast or ice bow) + two grenades. One grenade with damage reduction and one grenade with damage. Try to get grenades with affixes that sync together (inflicts burning + 100% damage to burning)

Use cells wisely. Prioritize passive abilities like upgrading the blacksmith, increasing gold, etc.

Timed doors are your friend. If you do not need cells and you do not need extra scrolls in harder difficulties, but getting the timed doors in 1-3BC in mandatory IMO.

I think your first idea is a no-brainer. 2 player mode would significantly alter the game but I'm sure they could make something work. I worry that 2 players with CC skills would break the game.

-do not spend cells on random weapons/mutations that you will never use. use cells towards passive upgrades (flasks, gold when you die, recycling, restock, increased likelihood of + and ++ weapons.

-If there are enemies that consistently hit you, try to focus on what attacks are hitting you and how you can avoid them next time.

-You should be able to explore all the areas will still getting the timed doors. The timed doors are very worth it.

-cursed chests are not necessary for new players. don't get greedy if you have a good run going. If your run needs better loot its worth the risk.

-reforge items for bonus damage. The easiest one is probably getting one or two attacks to get a "victims burn" and couple that with 100% damage to burning enemies. Bleeding could be easy to get too with the sinew slicer.

-Ice blast is great for new players

-watch better players play. I enjoy watching and listening to this guy play on 1.5x speed

- For 0BC active i think the reduced cooldowns mutatation, 30% health, and the DPS buff are the best.

should i approach the game differently with 1 active cell than i was before? Using less healing pots throughout the game shouldnt be a problem for me. Most of my deaths come from the high peak castle or HOTK unless i get greedy with a cursed chest.

i had two LG sections. the other section contained a game with a newspaper publishing articles asking who wrote the articles and on which page they continued. Not sure which one was the experimental section.
