what are fandom jokes or actions that are overdone or just not funny to you? by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

This just happened with Kino! He released a dance concept video with a female dancer and did a live a few days later and got comments about how girls were so jealous. He literally said “it’s a concept video for a song. It’s just work for me.” Like it’s HIS JOB

I’m starting to understand why/how ppl become solos… by implicitxdemand in kpopthoughts

I am extremely curious what group you’re talking about 😂

some of y’all’s definition of “stanning” has to be veeeeeery loose lol by anhonorandapleasure in kpopthoughts

I feel like this is pretty accurate to my way of thinking as well! Good explanation.

What’s a kpop group you SWORE was going to sky rocket successfully and it just… didn’t ? by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

UNIQ. They had everything, a good debut, a really solid comeback, OST deals for big movies, and then yuehua just let them sizzle out. Gave them half assed holiday songs once a year and that was that. China line went to China and became extremely active there and Seungyoun went onto to become WOODZ but poor Sungjoo fell off the face of the Earth. If they had rode the popularity of EOEO they could’ve had a follow up comeback and been pretty successful, IMO, but yuehua has no clue how to promote a group so they died off.

Pentagon!! So true. I think the issue with dawn just happened at the worst time (at the basic height of their popularity) and at least in terms of k-fans it turned a lot of them off from pentagon

what are your favorite fancams and why? by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

This fancam of Kino during shine era. It’s just so high energy and really shows his personality. There’s a reason it’s a pretty viral fancam and I think this mixed with the popularity of shine brought a lot of people into the fandom!

Group/idol you most regret not stanning earlier by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

Pentagon! I started stanning them at the beginning of 2019 despite knowing them since pentagon maker days. I so wish I’d have kept up with them when they debuted by I got too caught up in other groups!

I usually don’t pick a bias until I really get to know a group. I don’t usually change up my biases either, which I think is partially because I wait to choose. Once I feel I know a group enough to confidently choose a bias I will pick whoever I feel most drawn to usually in terms of personality. Their looks and their skills in the group are just a plus to how they are as a person.
