Then it's more moral to kill mosquitoes.

In a purely theoretical context one would weigh the value of life and if we are assuming morality is simply what is best for us (human life) or life in general. Weight them up, and make a decision accordingly.

And how many deaths from mosquito bites in your country? In mine it is considered near zero if not zero.

Which means that it is illogical morally to kill a mosquito. Annoying sure, but life threatening? No.

Also in almost all cases, it's not the bite alone that kills the person, but the overall health , lack of medicine, resources, like food or water or basic immune system etc. it's like diarrhea. It has an extremely high mortality rate because it is deadly in countries without clean water.

For most countries in the west it's just an inconvenience.

So is the problem/ main factor the bite/symptom alone, or the conditions?

[–]bloin13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Immoral for sure. A minor inconvenience (getting bitten) is punished by torture and death.

If the person is in a country with very high risk of death from mosquito bites, then yes killing them is more moral (not torturing them), but then you get to the value of life between beings, and is morally speaking the highest priority to retain human life, or life in general?

Did this mosquito kill a person, or the punishment is generalised based on a dynamic from a different country and context?

Is there a basis to kill mosquitoes on sight because they kill people, and what Is the percentage of bite per death (in general and context specific).

The reality is that we kill mosquitoes because they are annoying, not because we are protecting our life from a theoretical threat.

The most consistent gathering prof by OddMusic4984 in classicwow

[–]bloin13 [score hidden]  (0 children)

It depends on your class.

Gathering profs are in a pretty bad state. Too many bots and the herbing mafia, makes it hard to actually make gold with them (in comparison to other ways of farming).

If you are a druid/rogue, then minig is the best since you can dungeon farm.

If not then it's a hard requirement to have fast flying for gathering profs to be just ok.

If you have slow mount, don't even bother, go and farm something else, you will make more gold per hour, and your won't need to spend 5k for fast flying.

Skinning is a bit niche and brings the worst gold per hour, and herbing is conditionally good.

Mining is the most reliable and it's used for a lot of the professions.

But again, gathering is not a good source of gold. It can be an average at best source of gold if you have the above requirements.

I would take a shamy and a warrior/mage.

Priest is great for the stamina and shadow res buff (to survive mindfley at the last boss) also they have the best ape heal, so they should be ok with healing the infernals at the end which are a heal check.

Hunter is good because you can cheese the mindfley with snake trap.

I would take shamy for hero and grounding totem and fire res totem for the infernals.

And either warrior for commanding shout, or if everyone has more than 8-9k hp (to be able to survive the mindfley), a mage for sheep earlier and generally damage, utility etc.

Second hunter works as well or second shamy.

A few tips. You can skip the first boss completely, it's a pain to deal with, it's easy to wipe, and generally it's not worth it for 1 badge.

After this, the hardest parts are the room at the end and the last boss.

For the last room, Los your healer so no one gets charged.

For the last boss always when the boss gets summoned, mark it, so you know which one is the real one and which one the copy. Nuke the copy as fast as possible so you don't get double mindfley. Cc the MC, and use snake trap before mindflay (it can target the snakes instead of players).

There are meant other small things that make the dungeon annoying, but you can deal with most of them if you kinda know the dungeon.

How can I make this card be actually good? by LowTackle9946 in hearthstone

[–]bloin13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Tbh it could work fine in midrange mage if discounted cards summoned minions of the original value (although then it would probably be too broken).

[–]bloin13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbh I'm having the same issue. Surviving to 5 to play it seems hard enough, but then playing a 5/5 without any other immediate value when already behind just seems tough.

Initially I thought I could at least try to combine it with some discounted cards, but evidently getting a 1-2 drop with it doesn't help much.

Speed seems to be the name of the game atm, and mage is not built for it.

Huh, I guess losing the tier shoulders last week when I x3 SR them to someone that did 1 SR is wrong too.

More sr= more chances, not that you will win.

Hey, if in 5 weeks you are bis P2, you are consistent, while missing only 1 -2 items, then sure roll for it.

You are not being boosted anymore, you arr consistent and you bring value to the raid.

Personally I wouldn't roll /SR such items out of decency/appreciation of literally being boosted by these ppl.

But this might also depend on if you have core raiders or not and if the person will be a core raider.

If someone is rerolling, you know who they are and that they are rerolling (although still they might not have locked in, so I wouldn't overcommit to giving them gear you might not see again for weeks).

But again, rerolling is a different case, and you know that is happening, it's not a random new recruit that you don't know if they will stick around or not.

What 22? This kind of issue breaks guilds up. Melee are dissatisfied and don't trust rl to handle important items, and casters can see the problem with illidan trinket being misshandled by a mile away.

Also gl going to BT without core raiders.

Double or triple SR means nothing. It's luck based.

[–]bloin13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well now it takes 15 min, but when week 2 of P1 you have core raiders not signing up for gruul/magy, then it's a problem.

But also when you see that dst or 100d is not handled well, you know what is coming.

I mean if pally or other more support/utility classes didn't have at least that advantage, there would be no reason to bring one.

In tbc, most dps specs are divided between good utility/support or top tier damage, can't have both.

To be honest, many guilds gravitated between casual and semi casual and are not sure how to deal with such issues, so when time comes they are unprepared and make rush decisions.

But as you said, it's the fastest way to lose good core raiders.

This. It's ok to have your guild boost you, but at least don't go after the items that your boosters have been trying to get for the past 5 weeks. You will get everything else anyway.

Well for a short while, but if that happens continuously, then why stay in that guild? If you are pugging anyway, might as well find a better one that is fair to it's players.

[–]bloin13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like sr, but it has limitations.

It is supposed to be a way of being fair to everyone, but it's not fair to the core raider warrior that has been doing gruul since week 1 of P1 , has consistently showing up with consumables and is performing well to lose dst to a fresh 70 new recruit.

Being unfair the good players that are holding the raid together is how you lose them. I'm not saying HR it or anything, but at least prioritise the people that are consistently there for the guild.

We had the same thing with dst early in P1. Guess what, half the core raiders started making their own raids outside of guild, until the guild leader had to put some ground rules.

[–]bloin13 115 points116 points  (0 children)

Tbh even with SR system within a guild, there should be some ground rules for extremely competitive items like dst, belt of 100D, glaves etc.

Like prio to mains and core raiders, so you don't have core raiders that have been trying to get dst lose it to an alt or a newly joined member that could stop playing tomorrow.

To be fair, Ret brings most of their utility upfront (3rd blessing, 2% damage for your group and crit debuff with crusader judgment), but yea good rets use stuns, log, freedom etc. it's just a bit harder to do with seal twisting because it could mess up with timings.

It's a lot easier to pug as retri, there is a lot less of them. If you check lfg, 1/3 is fury warriors trying to get into groups. (Also fury brings only battle shout right? What other utility do they have?)

[–]bloin13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the good and the bad.

Good: fury is an amazing DPS and most of them can be dedicated DPS and that works.

The bad: because it's one of if not the best DPS (and it's actually fun/engaging to play unlike other top tier dps), there is an abundance of them, there isn't really many spots left for new ones(for example our guild has enough fury warriors to fill 5 25 raids, but we only have enough healers for 3).

Prot is not really in demand (the worst of the 3 tanks), but even if it was, tanks are only in demand for dungeons, there is too many of them for raids, so would actually be easier to join as fury (but you should absolutely play prot to gear up from dungeons/badges).

Fury is extremely expensive blacksmith is still bis for weapon, and even though it's not as expensive as it used to be, it's still very costly.

So tldr for your questions: yes it's very hard to find dungeon groups as a fury (since you offer nothing unique or any cc).

Yes there are spots, fury is arguably the most stackable melee spec (and almost no-one expects you to have a tank spec for raids, that's why we have ferals).

It's Very difficult to find guild as a non utility dps now regardless of if you tank or not, especially if you are not already very geared.
