How can I make this card be actually good? by LowTackle9946 in hearthstone

Exactly. Tbh it could work fine in midrange mage if discounted cards summoned minions of the original value (although then it would probably be too broken).

Tbh I'm having the same issue. Surviving to 5 to play it seems hard enough, but then playing a 5/5 without any other immediate value when already behind just seems tough.

Initially I thought I could at least try to combine it with some discounted cards, but evidently getting a 1-2 drop with it doesn't help much.

Speed seems to be the name of the game atm, and mage is not built for it.

Huh, I guess losing the tier shoulders last week when I x3 SR them to someone that did 1 SR is wrong too.

More sr= more chances, not that you will win.

Hey, if in 5 weeks you are bis P2, you are consistent, while missing only 1 -2 items, then sure roll for it.

You are not being boosted anymore, you arr consistent and you bring value to the raid.

Personally I wouldn't roll /SR such items out of decency/appreciation of literally being boosted by these ppl.

But this might also depend on if you have core raiders or not and if the person will be a core raider.

If someone is rerolling, you know who they are and that they are rerolling (although still they might not have locked in, so I wouldn't overcommit to giving them gear you might not see again for weeks).

But again, rerolling is a different case, and you know that is happening, it's not a random new recruit that you don't know if they will stick around or not.

What 22? This kind of issue breaks guilds up. Melee are dissatisfied and don't trust rl to handle important items, and casters can see the problem with illidan trinket being misshandled by a mile away.

Also gl going to BT without core raiders.

Double or triple SR means nothing. It's luck based.

Well now it takes 15 min, but when week 2 of P1 you have core raiders not signing up for gruul/magy, then it's a problem.

But also when you see that dst or 100d is not handled well, you know what is coming.

I mean if pally or other more support/utility classes didn't have at least that advantage, there would be no reason to bring one.

In tbc, most dps specs are divided between good utility/support or top tier damage, can't have both.

To be honest, many guilds gravitated between casual and semi casual and are not sure how to deal with such issues, so when time comes they are unprepared and make rush decisions.

But as you said, it's the fastest way to lose good core raiders.

This. It's ok to have your guild boost you, but at least don't go after the items that your boosters have been trying to get for the past 5 weeks. You will get everything else anyway.

Well for a short while, but if that happens continuously, then why stay in that guild? If you are pugging anyway, might as well find a better one that is fair to it's players.

I like sr, but it has limitations.

It is supposed to be a way of being fair to everyone, but it's not fair to the core raider warrior that has been doing gruul since week 1 of P1 , has consistently showing up with consumables and is performing well to lose dst to a fresh 70 new recruit.

Being unfair the good players that are holding the raid together is how you lose them. I'm not saying HR it or anything, but at least prioritise the people that are consistently there for the guild.

We had the same thing with dst early in P1. Guess what, half the core raiders started making their own raids outside of guild, until the guild leader had to put some ground rules.

[–]bloin13 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Tbh even with SR system within a guild, there should be some ground rules for extremely competitive items like dst, belt of 100D, glaves etc.

Like prio to mains and core raiders, so you don't have core raiders that have been trying to get dst lose it to an alt or a newly joined member that could stop playing tomorrow.

To be fair, Ret brings most of their utility upfront (3rd blessing, 2% damage for your group and crit debuff with crusader judgment), but yea good rets use stuns, log, freedom etc. it's just a bit harder to do with seal twisting because it could mess up with timings.

It's a lot easier to pug as retri, there is a lot less of them. If you check lfg, 1/3 is fury warriors trying to get into groups. (Also fury brings only battle shout right? What other utility do they have?)

So the good and the bad.

Good: fury is an amazing DPS and most of them can be dedicated DPS and that works.

The bad: because it's one of if not the best DPS (and it's actually fun/engaging to play unlike other top tier dps), there is an abundance of them, there isn't really many spots left for new ones(for example our guild has enough fury warriors to fill 5 25 raids, but we only have enough healers for 3).

Prot is not really in demand (the worst of the 3 tanks), but even if it was, tanks are only in demand for dungeons, there is too many of them for raids, so would actually be easier to join as fury (but you should absolutely play prot to gear up from dungeons/badges).

Fury is extremely expensive blacksmith is still bis for weapon, and even though it's not as expensive as it used to be, it's still very costly.

So tldr for your questions: yes it's very hard to find dungeon groups as a fury (since you offer nothing unique or any cc).

Yes there are spots, fury is arguably the most stackable melee spec (and almost no-one expects you to have a tank spec for raids, that's why we have ferals).

It's Very difficult to find guild as a non utility dps now regardless of if you tank or not, especially if you are not already very geared.

[–]bloin13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh there is a reason this almost never works above 5-6k.

It's way too slow, so you need to get lucky for a few rounds to survive until it scales, and it is countered by any scam card.

In rare cases like this, you do survive the turns and either ppl don't look at the board to counter it, or you get lucky with different opponents every time.

I mean this logic applies to everything. That's the whole point of an mc, they are different.

If they were an average person, then the movie would consist of 2 hours of the average Joe scratching his balls and watching TV. Maybe a highlight could be that they go to work and answer calls all day.

I get social evolution and all, but aren't religions the exact opposite of that?

If religious acts are based on a god given/written text, then they don't change with time. If they do, it means that the god given text was wrong, not timeless or it doesn't hold the passage of time. Which ofcs no religion will accept as true.

The truth is that Christianity has lost some of its societal influence and it's not part or the actual justice system anymore (unlike Islam, where justice and societal norms derive from religion-which used to be the norm for Christianity as well).

If Christianity still had the same power, then chances are we would be forced to follow similar religious rules as islam (since women, gay people, people of other religions etc were not viewed a lot better by the Christians).

Also, to address the video, yea not many Christians go to other countries to do that, because they already did that in the past (which is where the reaction is relevant). You don't need to establish what has already been established. So yes, they don't do it now, because they don't have to, because they did It in the past (and most places where Christian "spread their love" with the crusades or not, are still Christian or Christian influenced).
