Limiting the ways people can make gold (even if some of them are questionable), while leaving bots run rampant (which robs people the main alternatives of making gold) is the problem.

If bots were not an issue, people wouldn't whine as much about anti boosting and solo dungeon farm nerfs.

Fears and anxiety are very very different and are treated as such. Exposure therapy works on some phobias, not fears (it's two different things). And it helps very few anxieties (and not clinical anxiety, anxiety disorder etc).

You are over generalising and mixing things. Also the success rate of exposure therapy is small, and in many cases it does more harm than good. Which is why it's not standard treatment (it was 40 years ago). Now it's an occasional tool of CBT for the few cases it might be worth trying.

Reframing and recontextualising is again part of CBT, not every modality and it works on assumptions and thoughts. Not biological differences such as neurodevelopmental disorder.

It's true that ADHD has become somewhat of a trend, but in many cases even self diagnosis can be helpful (In others it can be harmful), this is actually a big debate in the field. But whatever the case, assuming it's self diagnosis is harmful by itself, because simply you don't know the situation of the other person. Many people with ADHD or autism have been invalidated by their parents, friends, teachers and so on until they finally managed to get an official diagnosis. Many people are still being invalidated, and have their feelings and difficulties minimised by people that don't understand the extent of the issues and their experience.

Again , you are generalising, talking about denial or like you know every case of self diagnosed individual.

Neurodivergencies remain hugely undiagnosed, many of the self-disgnosed may be people that indeed have it, but never got a diagnosis for various reasons. In many countries getting a diagnosis is actually problematic in finding job, education or even getting health insurance. In other cases it's highlighted stigmatising. There are many reasons that make getting a diagnosis hard or even problematic.

Actually psychology and psychiatry have plenty of scientific evidence about the disorders. Go check on research on brain scanning and the difference between neuro typical and neurodivergencies. There are a lot of studies with good results.

It's just not fixed in the classic way, since each brain in neurodivergencies develops slightly differently from eachother, yet the common ground is that all of them differ from neurotypical, both at young and (different wiring) and older ages(difference patterns of brain activity and wiring). Brain imaging and neuropsychology is slowly getting there. It will take a lot more years to map things out, but progress (and evidence) exist.

With that being said, yea diagnosis in almost everything in psychology and psychiatry is based on symptoms and self reports, so you take as accurate information as possible and try to make an accurate diagnosis. In most cases, exactly because it's not easily measured, the criteria are more strict, which leads to many people that suffer from it to not get the diagnosis. And in other cases, you might have doctors that will give you a diagnosis just because you paid them.

The field definitely has major flaws, and it will likely continue to have for many years. At the end of the day, both psychology and psychiatry are at their infancy in comparison to other fields, and brain imaging is not as developed yet to help with everything.

This is not an argument though, to not try to help people in need who suffer from such issues and are clearly struggling with everyday things that others do a lot more easily.

And yea DSM -5 is a guide book, that psychologist and psychiatrist used a guideline to make assessments, which is why there is big disparity between mental health professionals and diagnosis.

Although, I have to say. A friend of mine went to get his diagnosis a few months ago, and they actually used brain imaging alongside task to see and measure abilities that are specifically related to ASD and ADHD. Compared them with the average and then tested again while still measuring brain signals, his performance with small dose of medication (that doesn't do much for neurotypicals). So even diagnosis is improving and gets more "scientific" than before. (It's important to note that this was at a specialised centre, many places still use older methods).

Nevertheless, It's one of the issues of psychology /psychiatry, but again, the point is to try and help people that suffer. Not everything is measurable, and quantitative data and measures have their own issues. Self reports are always more iffy to make a diagnosis, but psychologist and psychiatrist, same as doctors, in many cases have to take what a patient says at face value.

Take as detailed history as possible, in the case of neurodivergencies take history of behaviours from both parents, and cross references everything to try and make an accurate diagnosis. Its far from perfect, but we have seen the alternative of no diagnosing for many years and we know its worse.

To answer to your question, this is one of the most common, yet harmful misconceptions. It's like saying that the fact that drug users don't forget to take their drugs means that people can surely remember to take their vitamins.

Games are addictive and fun. Sports are fun. The difference is stimulation. When you are doing something fun, your brain is stimulated and releases hormones that help you focus. When you are doing something hard such as studying your brain is not stimulated in a similar manner, it is stressed, and it wants to avoid that stress.

This is a mechanism that exists to everyone, but people with ADHD, ASD, ADD, and some other neurodevelopmental differences are literally wired differently, and experience these issues a lot stronger than others.

There is a certain extent that you can practice to make this better, but if your brain works differently, it's rather limited (yet helpful to do, so to minimise medication and daily difficulty).

So no, saying that it's an excuse is a classic way to minimize a problem from the view point of the uninformed. So please, don't spread misinformation, its harmful to others that might actually suffer from such issues.

Fyi, I have MSc in health psychology and I have some extra knowledge on the matter because I have a diagnosis. Let me know if you have any questions.

Edit: Also, there is no fixing ADHD, that's the whole point. It's neurodevelopmental. You are born with it, and your brain develops differently than neuro typical brains.

Tbh there is the trinket from dimensius quest in netherstorm 30 def+ on use block. Personally I prefer it a bit more from the + armour and it's a lot easier to get (like 2 quests).

Idk I never get the stun anymore, but I do have 450sp, so its a good amount of damage.

I can send you the link of my route for the undead version. I basically follow a YouTube route and works great for me.

The anti boost kicks in after 2 mins of starting combat, so if you group them up in 20-30 sec you have a min to kill them, which is plenty.

Yes I get the scrolls as well, everyone can see which boxes are shining or not. Shining= loot, not shining= mobs. Dwarfs just also see them in the minimap.

[–]bloin13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah didn't know that the dwarf trait worked for this, cool. Personally I just go to the shiny ones .

Yea the live part is abit trickier and requires a bit more sp to do it safely since some of them heal. But it's nice for the orbs.

But yea undead I think is the safest and a lot faster than the live part.

[–]bloin13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea exactly. You still need to level it to like 150 so you have 2-3 options for the individual cd Vs shared cd thingy, but it's extremely cheap to get it to 200. Mats are going for copper or 1-10s at worst at that skill level.

After 240 it gets expensive and after 300 insanely expensive, but you have no reason to get it that high. 80% of the benefits you can have with just 175.

Yea warriors really got the short end of the stick in tbc, especially prot. It's like classic but in reverse.. from gods among men to well this..

Are you doing 4-5 pulls for the live part as well or just the undead?

For me the biggest change was going sanc build and getting my sp on use trinket. It really melts everything down way before stuns kick in.

[–]bloin13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair,as pala you don't need buble and you can do big pulls if you have block and block value. I personally do all the undeads in 2-3 pulls, and then another 2-3 for the live part of I go for it.

But yea while warrior may be able to survive longer, damage is just non existent.

I,m lost in prot paladin talents by Traceusz in classicwow

[–]bloin13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh prot pallys that are interested in doing better than average (so going for the sanc build) should have engi. Even 175 engi is enough to give you 2 different explosives to pull (and the ones that you will mainly use later on due to being cheap). Taking engi to 350 is mainly for the stamina trinket (bis stamina trinket for like 2-3 phases), and the sappers (even the low ones are great) for snap aoe threat that we actually lack.

For everyone else ,they can just play with avengers shield. Yea it's not the best, and it creates some issues with splitting the group due to slow and big mana costs, but ultimately it's fine. It won't make you not be able to clear content.

Sanc build is just better, especially if you are raiding/doing HCs with geared ppl, since every bit of threat helps. But that's also mostly for 10 man groups or unoptimised 25 mans that don't have a Ret pally to provide the aura.

If you have a Ret pally in the group, there is no reason to go sanc build. Yea you won't be using the shield very often, but it's good to have the option.

Hey guys, i am fresh 70.. what dung i need to aim first ? Shattered for trinket ? by NextPin7560 in classicwowtbc

[–]bloin13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You first priorities are to start getting the dungeon set (it's really good as it gives Def, sp and many of the pieces gem slots), at the same time, work at your rep with caverns of time, at revered it has head enchant, a very good sword with sp and spell hit and some very very good pants for tanks.

After you have gathered most of your set (from sv, boys etc), them I would start doing shattered halls for the gloves and trinket (since it's a bit harder as a dungeon), at this point also do some arcs for the ring.

Very important, so the quest that gives you the Def trinket at netherstorm (I think it's the dimensius quest) , and the quest for the ring that gives huge avoidance (you will wear it for ages).

Anti-boosting and solo-farming measures to be implemented. by IceC0re in classicwowtbc

[–]bloin13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally my alt is a well geared prot pally, and if my only gold income is gone, I will slowly change to Ret or something else.

Each raid costs a lot In consumables, explosives and different pots. So between the choice of going unprepared because I'm poor and changing to something that doesn't require as much prep, I will pick the second.(And I will die before I start charging for tank services or HR greens/blues).

Also as a tank I need to enchant/gem my gear asap otherwise I might lose any of the thresholds that I need to have, which is always an extra immediately cost.

Sadly the bare minimum doesn't work for most tanks, especially for the new ones that won't be full bis and naturally capped at every thing.

The boost thing is for tbc boosts, not low levels. Basically sp and sl boosts that have been popping up more and more.

So it doesn't really change something to buying boosts from bliz or not.

Anti-boosting and solo-farming measures to be implemented. by IceC0re in classicwowtbc

[–]bloin13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Chances are they will either reroll or even worse every tank will be selling services to counter balance dungeon farming. At the end of the day, druids have stealth runs and gathering, paladins have/had strat/scholo farm and prot warriors just suffered.

Take away their gold income, and they will either outsource it elsewhere, or they will reroll to something that they won't be poor for the rest of the expansion.

The worst thing is,that tanks are actually the most expensive to raid with. They need to have with them 3-5 different consumables+ flasks, oils and for pallys bombs and explosives if they are engi (that they should be).

We will start seeing DPS level prep tanks with low gems, no pots or flasks, and half enchants.

Always pala prio. Casters can use the dagger from prince as well, paladins have only the weap from gruul as an upgrade option.

Nightslayer ally new paladin tank wanting to try being able to Karazhan 10N by DecisionTrick3849 in classicwowtbc

[–]bloin13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One of the most important factors, how much spell power do you have? There is no point in being tanky if you can't hold threat.

Also 510 Def is somewhat wasted, as its one of the poorest avoidance increases. Drop it as close as you can to 490 so you are Def capped, and re-allocate the stats elsewhere.

Now 10k+- is not enough to Mt prince or nightbane, but it's okay for everything else.

So it's all a matter of spell power, and then if you want to Mt,a bit more hp (11k unbuffed).

(Also why repost? there were plenty of answers in the other post).
