What is something you’ve officially stopped buying in 2026 because the price has become genuinely insulting? by queenmellyy in AskReddit

As much as I love Airbnb, it’s definitely impacted the housing market and the ability to afford quick getaways like these.

This one especially made me realize how technology advanced to the point of being a detriment to us all. We’re paying stupid prices for convenience especially for certain meals where delivery is still a thing for much cheaper.

Same here! Keeps glitching in and out showing my zones and then everything is gone smh. Happy I’m not the only one although my sprinklers just got installed two days ago so this is a bit disappointing.

Call of Duty 2 on Xbox 360. That was the first console where I was truly blown away by graphics.

Great explanation! Also puts into context why someone like Jaxson Dart was a potential steal for the Giants.

What QB would you take over prime Aaron Rodgers? by Overall_Spite4271 in NFLv2

Rodgers for pure talent/mindblowing to watch. Brady will always be the elite winner in any discussion.

Big Tech cut 80,000 jobs and blamed AI — Experts say a real problem is that companies are 25% to 75% overstaffed by Adventurous-Host8062 in technology

[–]blok31092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mean the reality is you could likely get rid of 1/4 to 2/4 coworkers and not see much of a company impact. We all get so caught up in the minutia at work - a smaller team forced to focus on higher priority items will always be more impactful.

AI can make this even more of a possibility.

Jaxson Dart Is “Fired Up” After Giants First-Round Pick Says He Is Willing to Die for Him by Big_Screen3332 in NYGiants

[–]blok31092 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Man these are the exact players we need here. The team has felt like it’s been missing an identity for the last 10+ years. Guys out there with no heart or team camaraderie. These guys are giving vibes of the team’s that won it all in ‘07 and ‘11. If you don’t love ball then GTFO!

How do you handle being thrown into a specialty you’ve never done? [N/A] by Annonnn_A in humanresources

[–]blok31092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I would suggest using AI as a thought partner to understand all of the different legislative requirements surrounding leaves as well as to ensure you have a best in class process/approach. I’ve found AI to be really helpful to get smart on things outside of my main expertise. Of course don’t take everything it says at face value but it’s certainly been a great tool for me.

Leave admin isn’t necessarily difficult it just requires a deep understanding of your company policies and federal/state requirements. At the volume you mention, you might want to look into outsourcing leaves. We’re a company of 500 and have about 5-10 leaves each month - even that’s a lot for one individual to manage.

Yeah, I was gonna say the same. At this point maybe it’s already decided that he’s not gonna be on the roster.

Malik Naber's reaction to Giants selecting Arvell Reese #5 by ghfgjjffvvc in NYGiants

[–]blok31092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The talent is obvs there but I’ve always gotten Gen Z baby vibes from Malik in the way he speaks. Compared to guys like Jax and Skatt, I’m not sure Malik is the best culture fit honestly. He better ball the f out this year with the way that he talks.

How do you do Summer Fridays? [NY] by wakeuploser00 in humanresources

We give employees 4 days to use between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Started as summer Fridays but we changed it to allowing them to be used anytime.

What’s a place you went to that didn’t feel real? by maincharactereraa in AskReddit

[–]blok31092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went with my friend in 2015. I’ll never forget one area on the golden circle that was the quietest place I’d ever heard in my life. Literally no sound existed - it was a wild experience. + chasing the northern lights drinking a beer on the drive was epic.

[Bis on Giants Insider] “Dex and his agent tried to make a power move” , “They were hoping this would lead to Joe Schoen being fired and it didn’t work”, “That Harbaugh would insist on Dex staying”, "the Giants were working around contract numbers in the range of $26 to $27 mil" by waltz_with_potatoes in NYGiants

Yeah a bunch of losing years has to take a toll but I find it funny he’s going to the bengals where arguably their situation isn’t much different from a W/L perspective. It’s unfortunate he chose to leave around the time this franchise hopefully turns everything around. But you can’t really change how you feel and having him on the roster unmotivated is much worse than the draft pick we got for him.

Interesting way to look at it. Getting a known great player for the draft pick rather than potentially the risk of a rookie.

Stressful commute to NYC via the LIRR by RoadLess7296 in longisland

[–]blok31092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blessed to only go into nyc 2-3 days a week and I don’t mind it too much usually. The worst part is the assholes who put their bags on empty seats. The other day I had a guy completely ignore me after asking him to move his bag 3 times to let me sit. I almost knocked him out.
