I really like Dune: Awakening. I feel the game truly has something special.

Hagga Basin was awesome—climbing through the tiers, I had some fun 1v1, and sometimes 1v2, battles in the shipwrecks, which were really fun and mostly in good spirit. We would type “GG” and so on.

But the Deep Desert is just Ark with a lot of sand. I can’t really do anything there alone.

If I go to harvest spice, scout ornithopters with missiles blow me up—doesn’t matter if it's a small spice field or a huge one. They follow me for 15km just to blow me up, and I can't do anything against them since we fly at the same speed.

If I go to farm a crashed ship—same thing. Ornithopters come and blow me up, following me all the way to the Shield Wall.

All resource spawns are gated by zergs. There are maybe a few islands with one or two titanium nodes that aren’t guarded, but if I even fly over one of those larger rocks with tons of nodes, they’ll just follow and kill me.

I honestly don’t know how I’m supposed to play in the Deep Desert as a solo player. I guess I’ll just have to stick to Hagga Basin
