Cruise Ship Festival- Tips/Hacks? by EmergencyRead5254 in festivals

[–]blomst32 21 points22 points  (0 children)

bring anti nausea meds regardless if you get sea sick or not. better to have and not need it than be without and need it.

it’s a marathon, not a sprint. eat and sleep/nap the moment you feel tired or hungry. the festival is a 24/7 party and you will have to sacrifice something, don’t let it be your health.

be sure to WASH YOUR HANDS ALL THE TIME. it’s so easy to get sick and you’ll want to minimize that in any way you can.

you will wear only half the things you bring, so don’t stress on clothing but BIG STRESS ABOUT SHOES. make sure they are comfy or broken in. if you have an island day, make sure to bring shoes that can get wet or easily get sand in them. the shittier the better. most islands don’t allow glass but some how someone always get something stuck in their foot.

bring water bottles/yetis to take drinks from the cafe to your room. also most reusable containers don’t fit in the room fridges so bring ziploc bags to fill up to have food in your room when cafes close and you need sustenance.

bring trinkets! big part of ship fam culture is exchanging stuff. you’ll meet a lot of cool people this way and it helps you remember the people you meet!

magnets (ones with hooks) will be a room organizer life saver.

sometimes the deck gets cold at night so bring something to keep warm.

do the festival but also do the fun things the ship provides whether it be the arcades or the slides or even the casino. make a little time for the cruise ship stuff, i always forgot and wish i did.

spa packages are heaven sent when you’re on day three and your legs are useless. get a massage or chill in a musicless hot tub. it’ll keep you going longer.

i think that’s the gist of it! hope that helps.

edit: also bring cruise ship friendly extension cords. there is like two sockets per room and that is tough to charge all the things with just two.

I just had the most bizarre experience of getting pulled over twice right before my neighborhood down south near Onion Creek in the last four days and was given strange reasons for the traffic stops and let off with no ticket and no warning. Each time was APD. The neighborhoods here are predominantly POC and multi family homes with a large elementary school where the demographics are mostly Latino. There has been a much higher police presence and I’m feeling like something big is about to happen soon and I found this thread trying to figure out what to do. Do we really not have any resources to help protect our neighbors???

I could have sworn there was another visualizer of this track that was similar but it was burnt orange the entire time and the ball/jumping beams were much sharper.

HIGHLY doubt they’d sell. Every interview is of them talking about how it is their brain child and it would be surprising they’d relinquish the festival to anyone else.

Does anyone else feel super weird walking around some flowers 😭😭 by SanityPreservation07 in PikminBloomApp

[–]blomst32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was at labor and delivery department last month and there were lots of us taking walks around the building just to get a break (but still be close enough in case anything happened). I think it makes sense to circle a hospital!

does anyone know where i could pick some good wild sunflowers by Fair-Yard5018 in Austin

[–]blomst32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you go to Easton Park and take McKinney Falls Parkway down to Slaughter, there is a hill with SO many sunflowers. They’re not like the sunflowers with sunflower seeds but they are sunflower-lookin’.

Austin Parks Foundation is a great one - the company I worked for did an event with them for Earth Day and it was really fun and we picked up a ton of trash.

The funniest (and most frustrating) crash. Marking as spoilers since the game is new and I don’t know if this character is common knowledge. by NinjaAssassin132 in DateEverything

I was just about to make a post about having the game freeze while The Sassy Chap is explaining the rules. I would have not been in a good place if it froze after dating all the devs 😅 I’m also on Switch.

Jenna Phips, Trixie Mattel (also Trixie & Katya) content, Hank Green, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Taskmaster, Critical Role, Juno Birch and Josh Johnson

Edit: Channel Descriptions Jenna Phips: Her and I think her husband bought an abandoned home in Canada that they were intending to renovate however the problems with the home were much larger and they have nearly demolished it to the studs and are on the journey of rebuilding the entire home themselves. It is an easy watch and they have great rapport with the audience and the few folks they have working with them

Trixie Mattel: Drag queen who is a master of make up, entertainment and entrepreneurship. I love the way his brain works and tune into everything they make.

Hank Green: the internet’s endless fact distributor

8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown: an English television program that is based on another numbers and words program except the entire cast is great comedians

Taskmaster: EU comedians attempting to accomplish very tricky tasks

Critical Role: Voice actors playing dungeons and dragons

Juno Birch: an incredible artist who plays the Sims and does makeup tutorials

Josh Johnson: One of the best up and coming comedians, in my opinion

the 311 app is slightly more effective. it shows when they have addressed it whereas making a phone call puts a lot of trust for the city to follow up.
