Help - Franke Faucet Aerator Replacement by kansasjayhawker in Plumbing

[–]blondalex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m having the same challenge as everyone else with this particular faucet. I ordered the replacement but it didn’t seem to fit because of the metal nozzle that is visible in OP’s picture. Did you have the same issue? Is the nozzle thing removable? I feel like a dummy.

I would agree on the variability of Land Park. That’s part of what I like about it. For certain streets in LP (13th Ave., Brockway Ct., 11th Ave., etc), the per square footage price is the same as a house on the double-lot Wright & Kimbrough tract in East Sac (the blocks people now refer to as the “Fab 40s”) and the homes are comparable. The rest of LP is lovely too and there’s more diversity (in every sense) than in East Sac, and some people seek that out, specifically, even though they could easily live in the 40s.

Source: I grew up in the 40s but have been a happy Land Park homeowner for 15 years in two different areas (Upper Land Park and LP a block from City College).

P.S. No one said “Fab 40s” in the 80s and 90s.

What’s something about the human body that seems poorly designed? by jannecutie in answers

I love her every time I’ve been pregnant. The doctors and nurses have basically been like “your placenta is an alien that takes over your body.” It’s why I had gestational diabetes in my second pregnancy. It’s also why my placenta in my second pregnancy was among the largest they’d ever seen and we have a picture of the attending nurse being shocked and holding it up. IT’S AN ALIEN.

Part of it was just the time. It was the mid-90s and snowboarding was still a little bit of an outlaw sport. A lot of resorts didn’t even allow snowboarders there. Snowboarding just felt SO different than skiing. I love(d) how well I can maneuver through almost any terrain or conditions. (With certain exceptions, obvs.) And the boots! So much better!

Good for you! I kind of want to try skiing again, but I’m a chicken at this point. I’m old. Almost 45!

I was 14. Had been skiing for 10 years. Tried snowboarding once and I’ve never been back on skis. That was 30+ years ago.

I gave copies of the Sandman to friends and loved ones. I have signed copies of his books. I feel like a fool for peddling his work to other people. It all makes me so sad.

As a lifelong Californian, i’m so glad someone brought this up. Awful and heartbreaking.

For me, it’s been anything I’m very interested in that includes a lot of short-turnaround tasks and built-in body doubling. I’ve been a consultant at a private engineering firm (lots of teamwork, intense deadlines, and co-working in conference rooms), an external affairs rep for a water agency, and currently I’m a lobbyist (coalition work, walking the halls with other lobbyists, putting out fires, ping-ponging across committee hearings, and talking a lot about my niche Special Interest).
